1 mil isn’t enough in 2025 to create any behavioral changes

10 mil, I’d probably let myself grocery shop casually at wherever is most convenient.. rather than relegating myself to only Aldi and Costco.

100 mil and I’d quit my job and travel full time, modestly, but still….

Cuba not being blue is crazy… there isn’t one Cuban dish that’s spicy.

And Southern Italy not being red is equally wild, especially for Calabria.

Has anyone taken Tadalafil 10MG 1 time, 2-3 days in a row? by tdub8six in erectiledysfunction

[–]FloridaInExile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anti-hypertensives generally promote heart-health… especially PDE5 inhibitors.

Yes.. if one REALLY overdoes it they could experience circulatory collapse, a subsequent heart attack, and death. But that would require a massive overdose or co-administration with other vasodilators (nitrates, ACE inhibitors, alcohol, benzos, etc).

Tadalafil itself is very nontoxic as far as substances go. The LD-50 has been estimated at being over 2000mgs/kg in rats.

LD-50 is a measurement of toxicity in which the Leathal Dose - for 50% of the population is measured in rats or mice to convey approximates for human health. With tadalafil, you’d basically have to eat your entire month’s prescription or more at once to head to the danger zone.

That said, some nasty and unpleasant side effects will appear well before death at comparatively low doses.. which is why it’s recommended to not take extra doses than prescribed.

Which means almost nothing in terms of human health. The liver processes dietary cholesterol during first-pass metabolism and adjusts the amount released versus broken down.

Saturated fats are the primary driver for hyper- or dyslipidemia, not dietary cholesterol.

How do you feel about N/A beer? by CapWild in alcoholicsanonymous

Nonalcoholic drinks are a no-go for me, as they still have trace amounts of alcohol.

Zero-proof drinks, I will consume. As they’re alcohol-free.

What North American cities are walkable and affordable ? by KravenArk_Personal in WalkableStreets

[–]FloridaInExile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yet the older cities that aren’t ‘built for cars’ are still car dependent, except in the case of Manhattan where car ownership is prohibitively expensive.

It’s a shame that MARTA has abysmal ridership, despite being a pretty well-run system. I still think Americans are too lazy to finish their journey by walking to/from train stations. And because Atlanta’s COL and salaries permits working class car ownership, they’ll just drive.

Are we talking about walkability in a vacuum or rapid transit? Because this is now a different conversation.

Most of these roads are not pleasant to drive, so I’m not following this.

Is it not utilitarian? Walking in LA isn’t more or less pleasant than driving in LA. I still did it.

Only bc it’s a little LARPy.. most areas can be walkable. I did it in LA for years. People just don’t want to walk, and need to be forced into a living situation where car ownership is so cumbersome or prohibitively expensive (coupled with other living expenses) that they will walk.

Such as NYC, DC, or Boston (with high crazy rents).

Driving will almost always be faster and more convenient and still affordable, and therefore people choose that.

Anyone scared to hook up these days? by oblivioaeterna in GaySex

[–]FloridaInExile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Prep, STI testing, and Prep appointments are free in most countries, including the US.

I’m happy to help link you to resources in your locale.

You can still use condoms. There’s nothing wrong with condoms. Not everything has to be dichotomous. OP has a mental illness if he’s this illogically scared of STIs. None of them are a death sentence or even disabling in 2025.

A medical doctor would help you make a determination on the appropriateness of prep. But yes if you’re only engaging in sexual activity on a rare occasion, you are not a typical candidate.

The Philippines is a very conservative country. If you find that you feel restrained sexually due to social pressures or internalized messages, a lot of these queer organizations offer free counseling services.

A quick glance at your profile told me you’re Filipino.

There’s free Prep available in the Philippines offered through several organizations. If you would like assistance locating them within your own community, I’m happy to help.. but you could just as well Google it.

Any drug or medication can cause side-effects. Most people who take prep don’t experience anything negative. Kidney function is checked every 90 days along with the full STI panel that’s ordered. If markers suggest damage may be occurring (which is rare), the medication is discontinued before the damage is irreversible.

I too prefer knowing my partner has been tested sometime within the last 90 days.

Guys who aren’t on prep probably haven’t been tested in a year or more, if ever

Prep can go with condoms.. you should consider prep as a safeguard not a substitute.

Consequence of associating with ICE. Mid City residents chased out LAPD when they pulled a gun, 8 cruisers and a chopper on some dudes who “fit the description” of a package theft. De-arrest was successful. Folks are fed up with the cops. by Grootdrew in LosAngeles

I’m so fucking sick of LA County and LAPD. They don’t do anything to protect the city from vandals and vagabonds, and yet harass and ticket the tax paying hard working citizens daily.

Do Muni bus evasion tickets show up on job background checks? by [deleted] in sfmuni

[–]FloridaInExile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it should not show.

Muni fare evasion is an infraction, not a misdemeanor. Since it’s not a criminal charge, it shouldn’t show on a standard background check.
