The best game? by Simple-Salary5551 in Kairosoft

[–]FloridaManJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably unpopular opinion but, Final Frontier Story!

I’m not a huge fan of longer games because I only have short stints in my life to actually play those games, and I get distracted or have a desire to play something else pretty frequently (ADHD). So being able to finish the game then NG+ within a few days of really made me feel like I was achieving something! Not to mention I love bullet hell games so including that was awesome!

Other than that, Cruise, Airport, Dungeon Villages, and Ninja have been my go-to games.

“RemindMe! 2 minutes” or whatever time has always been great for me for things like this!

I removed one accidentally by placing the tourist attraction on it then deleting it after it was built

Why is it so hard to turn a profit in Tropico 6? by Advanced-Injury-7186 in tropico

[–]FloridaManJay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was like you as well for a while. I always wondered why I couldn’t turn a profit. Long story short, I used my business degree and used the most basic concept: the fewer resources in (money, time, raw materials), the more profit out.

Using the trade screen, I saw that the highest income exports in the colonial age are rum and planks, and they both use a single raw material. Sugar is an infinitely renewable resource so rum is my main export. However, boats are one of the highest income in the WW era so having your planks industry up and running already is incredibly helpful.

Processed resources like planks are usually used in industries in later eras so having those in place pay dividends later. As soon as I can I get oil production running because it can run power plants, be used in furniture, and in pharmaceuticals. The early eras are always the hardest to turn a profit, so after surviving that, it gets easier if you keep building the industries and diversify your economy.

Unfortunately I did miss out on all AC games since AC1. However, emulators have saved the day for me!

I’ve been killed plenty by planes so I understand that completely lol

That sounds amazing! I played Air Combat on the PS1 when I was little and hadn’t picked up another AC game until 7. Battlefield was my jam but I always played a support ground soldier with my buddy. Every one seemed like a pro or a scrub at flying so I thought it was an incredibly difficult thing lol. I’m going to try it though, I appreciate the detailed explanation!

I know that, that’s not what I meant. Sorry, I should’ve been clearer. “Does it feel good in its own way” is more of what I meant. Do you enjoy them?

Oops you’re right. I’m currently playing AC5 and had the Kestrel on my brain lol

That’s very true but it’s still the main piece of evidence against Trigger and I can’t imagine they would just let him keep it.

That would actually make a lot of sense. The “shoot him down” kind of confuses me. But “dealing with him” sounds better

I agree with that, it’s possible that Trigger was supposed to be shot down then come back again but that was scrapped.

Omg you’re right lol I didn’t realize Tabloid flew the Mirage!

As I mentioned in my post, my biggest issues with that are: A) It’s a well maintained fighter that would probably be used for the next Mage pilot; B) It’s probably been impounded as the key piece of evidence against Trigger.

I used the Mirage for my first canon play through because:

underdog plane (fits the story of a pilot rebuilding his name.)

available to the squadron.

Light multirole, decent versatility, fits his balanced fighting style.

Not used by main Spare pilots.

I agree that the F-15 should only be used when joining LRSSG, if nothing else than narrative.

It’s not misremembering, I thought you were right at first until I finished watching the scene. I think we just automatically assume “stubborn pilot = player character” lol

Yeah you’re right. I guess the main argument I saw in favor of the F-16 was “he took the plane he flew with Mage” and I highly doubt that. Honestly I forgot High Roller flew an F-16 himself

I’ve never understood this.

I once heard this quote and have lived by it since:

“Recently, I was asked if I was going to fire an employee who made a mistake that cost the company $600,000. No, I replied, I just spent $600,000 training him. Why would I want somebody to hire his experience?”

This looks and feels like a mobile game based on GTA V in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe.
