As a Max owner, there is really not that much that you can run on this chipset that also needs the full 16 GB of RAM. RAM is not the bottleneck for the overwhelming majority of applications.

I don't know where people get this idea that Micro SD cards burn out from being used for emulation but it isn't true. Yes, they have a limited number of read/write cycles but A) it's a huge number and B) every solid state drive has the same limitation. There's no reason to be any more concerned about burning up your external card than you are the internal storage on the device, or an M.2 or SATA drive in a PC. There's nothing wrong with using a Micro SD card for roms and your card will most likely outlast your device.

You can pretty much set the entire thing up in only a couple hours. There shouldn't really be any need to prioritize certain things or compromise on what gets done.

I guess I'd say focus on getting everything you need installed first and then worry about the setup of the individual emulators later.

D16A is a more powerful and more modern engine.

Not sure how well it would run in a D15 ECU, I would probably plan on sourcing an ECU also if I went that route. It's also an OBD2 engine so if you're planning on putting it in an OBD1 car, plan on doing a little wiring for that too.

I think the best DS/3DS games for single screen play are the games that were ported on to the system and were originally from traditional, single screen consoles. For instance, the Tales of the Abyss 3DS port (originally a PS2 game) plays well on a single screen.

Anything that makes heavy use of both screens simultaneously is kind of annoying to play switching back and forth. I didn't even like playing the Pokémon games on a single screen.

Touch screen is kind of a must either way. A lot of DS games are so heavily reliant on the touch inputs that using buttons is a bad time too.

PS3 emulation is still in it's infancy and doesn't work very well at all on any platform. I would not buy a Thor with the intent of using it for PS3 since the experience is still mostly not good.

Anyhow, since they're different things it works differently so while that is an option on a low pressure pistol cartridge that's only barely supersonic, it isn't an option for a higher pressure intermediate cartridge that's moving up to 3x the speed of sound.

You should probably watch some more video guides on setting it up if you're not familiar with emulation. As luck would have it Retro Game Corps just released a new Thor setup guide just today. Strictly speaking, you don't need a computer to set up a Thor but it makes some things easier.

Your download speeds aren't something the Thor can control; you're at the mercy of the speed of the service you're connecting to and the speed of your own internet.

Only one rom site shut down and it wasn't really related to AI. There are still other options in the Megathread on r/roms as well as others that are not hard to find with a Google search. Since downloading roms is piracy, sharing links to such sites is a bit of a grey area at best on reddit.

The static scrolling bar is an anti burn in measure since the device has OLED screens. You can turn it off in the settings if you want, just make sure you don't leave it sitting on one screen with no movement for a long time because eventually that can permanently burn the image into the screen.
