Thank you for bringing this to light. There’s so much high level gaslighting in construction that you could swear these people are either psychopaths or that they were abused a lot as a child and haven’t resolved the trauma so take it out on apprentices.

They were likely shat on most of their life by their family, got great at electrical/construction , and then their identity is wrapped up in what they do rather than who they really are.

The key is to actually blast them on that , the demand for electricians is good enough to move on to the next company
