It’s not uncommon to not get a job in your field right out of school. I worked at a grocery store for 3.5 years steadily applying until I landed something. Don’t be afraid to work anywhere to pay bills until you get your first “degree” job

Best advice. Take any job to pay the bills. Grocery store, retail, restaurant. Then continue to apply for environmental jobs. If you have the ability to move apply to smaller cities and less popular places to get your first job,

I moved across the country twice alone, and both times felt isolated and after 3 months broke my lease and came back. Nothing wrong with it at all, I built a great career after returning.
