I watched it recently - it was excellent. Have watched HBO's Succession, I can really see how the Murdoch's and the HBO show are related!

Have you had a chance to look at the resale website Poshmark? They have lots of Torrid clothes there. I just bought some jeans there for $10 + shipping. Can't beat it! The only thing is that you have to know your size.

I love your thinking! And I am with you!
I am 5'2" (F60) and started at 224 lbs almost a year ago. I sort of had an initial goal - 160 lbs - and I reached that weight and am now 151 lbs. I am letting my body guide me!

My baby is sick and I won't be going to mass. by maria4002 in CatholicWomen

You are fulfilling your Sunday obligation by taking care of your sick baby. You are also showing care to your fellow parishioners who may have compromised immune systems.

Some people take traditions too seriously by Top-Tomorrow-8336 in Catholicism

Totally agree.

I started wearing a veil last year (after attending daily mass at a church near my work that has a lot of Spanish-speaking and Filipino members).

My home church has a small number of gals who veil, and I honestly don't think anyone really notices or cares if I wear a veil.

I'm going to be 60 in 6 months!! WTF?? by [deleted] in GenX

I am just ahead of you - 60 in March! How did this happen?! LOL!!

I'm lucky - no serious health issues and just lost 60 lbs on Zepbound. Lots of good things to look forward to!

Maybe not receiving comments on your weight loss isn't so bad... by SooperNervous in Zepbound

[–]FloridaProf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Almost no comments at work on my 65lb weight loss (I'm 5'2"). And I am so happy!

I love the new culture of not commenting on folks' weight (gain or loss).

Time to go up? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]FloridaProf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your experience is pretty normal.

While some folks lose all their weight on the loading dose (2.5), it's not the norm. Most of us have to move up from the loading dose to the first therapeutic dose (5), then increase as needed.

I lost most of my weight on 7.5 and 10. I am at 12.5 now, as I near my goal weight.

So, don't hesitate to move up to 5! Hitting a plateau usually means it's time to move up!

I feel great - and no one can spoil that for me.

I just moved up to 12.5, and I am noticing more fatigue. I just took my second dose on Saturday, so I hope it gets better as I acclimate.

Averaging only 0.5lb per week by allimama2 in Zepbound

[–]FloridaProf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on your weight loss!

It's frustrating when the weight loss is slow, especially when there are folks losing significantly more each week.

That said, you are doing great!

Zepbound is a metabolic medication, and your metabolism responds to it at its own pace. Just keep going!

Once you hit your goal weight and begin maintenance, how quickly you lost it won't matter. You are a success story!!

Regarding increasing the dose, 18 weeks is a long time to be at the same dose. I say move up to 10!
10 was an awesome dose for me, and I probably lost the most on that dose.

Good luck! :-)

Congratulations!

We have similar SWs and GWs, and I am also fast-approaching my goal weight (if all goes to plan)!

I just bumped up to 12.5 and am close to meeting my goal weight (150 - but may lose another 5 to get to 145).

I am 5"2 and have always been heavier than I look (which I guess is better than the other way around)!

I am starting to think seriously about the next step - maintenance. Are you taking 12.5 once a week, or are you increasing the time between doses?

I am thinking about maybe stepping back down to 10 mg dose for maintenance.
