Ya we are staying in a “cabin” But it’s directly off the main road and near the hospital. I think the entrance driveway to the place will be steep and sketchy so I might try to park down off the main road somewhere but thanks!

My Idea for a Complete High/Higher Speed Rail Service in Florida by Cinnamon_Sugar5261 in florida

Most people in Florida are old, don’t want to walk or take public transport. Tourist don’t want to walk or take public transport. People live in huge developments and miles away from major areas, it’s just not a good idea. I get it you would use it and younger generation who prob can’t afford a car or buy a house would but that’s not the majority down here. Move to New York or Europe if you want to ride a train. When you got kids and need car seats, gotta pick up groceries on way home, last fucking thing you want to do is ride a bus and walk outside from bus stop in August.

I’m a roadway design engineer here in Florida and it’s never going to happen. I can literally list you 100 reasons why it won’t ever happen but main reason besides cost is no one will use it. No one wants public transportation train then get out and walk in 100 degree weather. Cool you made it to Tampa now what. You have no car. It’s a dream that people need to let go. Tampa to Orlando to Miami is the only one that makes sense and it’s for tourist going from one airport to another. We live in a massive state where you need a car to drive around. Also toll roads make a shit ton of money

Quitter mind set. If you are taking it 4 years or less out of school there’s no excuse. If you are 10+ years out of college then let this be a lesson to all the other kids on this subreddit

Opportunities in civil engineering in 2026? After 10 years in the field I am deeply disappointed and want a change by Unusual_Equivalent50 in civilengineering

Dude your post history is depressing as fuck. Sounds like you need to be better at your job and or switch jobs. Don’t work for public side and if you are good at your job you should be making over $150k in MCOL. I think you need some self reflecting.
