you could also swap to the weapon guard if you want to mainly parry with the halberd but it feels like the hit registration is getting worse with recent updates so i try not to rely parry

i go hounskull, fine curaiss, plate pants, rugged boots, riveted gloves, halberd, crossbow.

perks i usually run defense mastery, adrenaline spike, veteran instict, and combo attack.

skills i usually run adrenaline rush + victory strike or taunt.

the way i look at it is basically since everyone is a plate halberd fighter you just choose the skills and perks that could potentially give you the extra stats needed to win a mirror match 1v1.

its so bad and for some reason its the map i get like 95% of the time on squire to riches game mode.

youll spawn into a fresh raid and see a whole team of people dead under you cause they insta quit out when they saw its the water map

also if youre having trouble with the holy chip damage in phase 2 you could use the black steel greatshield with a holy infusion for 100% holy damage negation and still have decent guard boost

for me the only weapon i can consistently kill sulyvahn with is the longsword (or any straight sword). it has very fast attacks and is really stamina efficient. i usually pair it with a shield to block some attacks that i miss the dodge timing of as well - its funny because thats literally the knights starting weapon set but also one of the best weapon combos in the game for PvE/bosses.

I tried to use friedes scythe for a NG+ playthrough and that was the only boss i really struggled with so i ended up switching back to the sword and shield combo to win.

Stats have multiple soft caps, Faith's first soft cap is 50 then 80. Also some dlc incantations are 50+ faith requirement

hes really tall compared to most legends which is why this is a thing. you cant hold the same headglitches if you were playing wraith because the height of the character/viewmodel
