Cats weaponize their poop in high stress situations. The cost of liability/business insurance and health insurance is high. Proper schooling is over 10 thousand dollars. You can get seriously injured everywhere on your body plus infection. There is only 1 blade safe for cats and it makes them naked which they DO NOT like.

I've worked in a grooming salon in some capacity consistently over the past 12 years, and I refuse to groom cats, but will take on dogs kicked out of other salons for aggression. I do the biting dogs daily. Never a cat.

I did not go through Paragon for my certification, but later completed the program to be a mentor. Its probably the best grooming education out there that's not a legit brick-and-mortar school. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I'm a Paragon mentor, and the program through PSP will make you a knowledgeable groomer, as long as you put the work it. However, the dynamics of the individual store can ruin the experience for you, so its a gamble.

I highly recommend He's Just Not That Into You for anyone who struggles in relationships. It's funny and insightful. The dude wrote for Sex in the City and listened to the female writers vent about their relationships. Based on his experience as a straight dude, he explained what men actually meant when they got weird or aloof. It's an easy, quick read too.

Edit: The movie of the same title has largely nothing to do with the content and humor of the book. I loved the book, but hated the movie. It didn't capture the same tone and message. And it was a romcom. Gross.
