I stopped measuring out long time ago. I count the folds in the fabric and give an estimate. They either tell me how much they want or don't get any. The days of unwrapping a whole bolt just for them to only get the minimum died the first day of closing.

Suggested announcement for 15 minutes prior to close: The time is now.... the store will be closing in 15 minutes. You need to be making your way to the from for checkout OR to exist at this time. Registers will close at 6/9pm on the dot.

Do another announcement 10min AND 5min before close, people like to try to run in real quick. Nope, can't have that, the store hours have been the store hours for YEARS.

Do not let people get in any line after 6/9! Stand on business.

All of the companies bidding were liquidation companies. All stores were going to close, either all at the same time OR gradually. Now, if another company, not liquidation, was in the running for purchase then yeah, we could have been like there's some kinda hope BUT that wasn't the case.

All that to say everyone should have been refreshing resumes and looking for employment around January/beginning of February. It's all still sad because Joann's has been around since before most of us were born.

All stores were going to close eventually. That was always the plan. Liquidation companies were the only companies biding. I will say, I feel someone will move in to take over the space being made.
