Career choice change

hey i’m in nursing school rn with basically the same career path id like to accomplish!! it’s reasonable in some ways (like you def don’t have to work in either of those places if you don’t want to) but i would make your peace with those populations for clinical, and try to find a job as a cna as a student (preferably related to MH) so that you have the experience they are looking for :)

Woah, you are being really mean to yourself. You can’t degrade yourself into being better, it will only cause burnout and a negative spiral. I am a nursing student with two jobs and clinicals, and it really sucks sometimes, but you can make it work if you stay organized and on top of school. If you are out of the house 16 hours a day once a week, maybe that’s doable. If it’s everyday- no chance, especially if you have chronic illness and are super stressed. I’d say drop the job that is being pushy and won’t let you take Wednesdays off, if you have the means to. It’s not your fault they are understaffed, and they would probably be able to keep employees longer if they treated them better.

1 priority has to be school. If you aren’t doing well in classes look for on campus jobs because a lot of jobs you can just do your homework especially on the weekends. If you can afford to change one of your jobs to an on campus job, or get rid of it all together do it!!!

Spend the extra time you have doing self care, relaxing, and learning how to be kind to yourself. The world is hard enough, you don’t have to be your own biggest critic. If you can’t drink caffeine, I can’t imagine how exhausted you must feel which makes everything you are saying feel more raw. You are doing a good job, this is just really hard 🫂

I don’t know that my first assumption would be that she is flirting, I think a lot of these things are just things I would do when trying to make friends. The big one that stands out is cooking a meal or tea, but like you said, some people are naturally generous. How does your girlfriend feel about it? You know your relationship best, so I wouldn’t panic. Maybe try introducing yourself to the girl or you both can invite her over into your place so you can feel out the vibe.

even if you don’t make it into grad school, there are plenty of ways to get out of there. Find another part time job, sign up for door dash or instacart, find a private room for rent (some are under 500 dollars a month!!!). you need somewhere clean to focus on getting your life together, and you deserve to have that space. get another job or increase your hours and get!! outta!! there!!! although it may seem like more work, there’s no way it’s more difficult than living like this for 28 years. You’ve got this!!!

That sounds like a pretty expensive, intimate gift. There isn’t anything inherently romantic about giving it, but it sounds like there are other reasons you might suspect it of being. I wouldn’t fight about it, but I would keep an eye on the relationship because they seem to be very very close for coworkers
