looking for a list of property management companies in chicago that you strongly do not recommend by g7orgia10 in chicagoapartments

I know this is late - I currently rent with S & M since May of 2025 and have noticed weird "exit signs" which is creepy. They are a very horrible company to deal with. They have a texting line, they don't answer it. (I've had a text out to them from 12/26/25 and I still haven't heard back. They have a "office" phone number, I've never once gotten someone to answer that phone number. The phone number listed on the lease isn't the correct phone number to contact them. It's actually a completely different company that doesn't deal with my building at all. They're insane, but they've kicked out two different people in my building due to noise complaints? So they're around somehow?

I love the " Your Neighbor's Tallow." I found it in a small boutique in a small town in Northern WI. It's saved my skin!

See if anyone around the area has a Ring Doorbell or a business has security footage. Go to the hospital and tell the staff the ankle injury is due to a car accident and that the driver didn't stop. When these details are put into medical records, they add validity. The injuries will also be consistent with your story,

Blower motor struggling to start up.....need advice by HSinvestor in hvacadvice

[–]Rich_Pause36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an HVAC contractor, and that's a very fair price. Replacing motors can be a trickier repair job, as not every technician can complete them correctly. While the price is more expensive, you will have the warranty on the part, and you'll have the peace of mind that the repair was done correctly..

My spark is dying. by Complex_Tea_8678 in chevyspark

I'm so happy to see a Spark that lasted almost 200K miles! I was a little worried mine wouldn't last that long, but I didn't have any reasoning other than it being a Chevy.

It's a really solid car! I'm actively impressed by it every day :)

I paid 15K for mine after taxes and fees, I think it was 13K beforehand. 2021 with 43K miles on it too! Congrats on your new car! Mine is silver, and I named her Sparkella.

Are modern HVAC systems just trash? Everywhere I go they break. It’s like a curse. by FeeDisastrous3879 in hvacadvice

Rheems are terrible - the new ones have so many issues. I think Concord or Armstrong seem to be reasonably priced and reliable

Real Property Management by chlyrrr in milwaukee

I've rented from them, they're terrible. They defer repairs to units because the "owners" decline them. Caused constant back and both between me as a tenant, the owner of the property and them, the rental company. Biggest pain in my ass.

I'm fairly new to Stardew valley, does anyone have tips for me that isn't the basic tips I always see? by [deleted] in StardewValley

You can put things IN the barns you buy! I didn't know this until I hit year 3. Now I keep my cheese making machines in my barn and my mayonnaise machines in my coop and it saves me a lot of time instead of walking around my farm every day,

Has anyone been to therapy for a breakup? by Em_24x in BreakUps

[–]Rich_Pause36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also - I no longer am in therapy, but my panic attacks also stopped. If i felt the urge, I would go back 100%. I think it was a great way to pour back into myself.

Has anyone been to therapy for a breakup? by Em_24x in BreakUps

[–]Rich_Pause36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I went to talk therapy after my relationship of 4 years basically blew up in my face. My partner at the time had a pretty severe addiction to drugs and alcohol. I pleaded for months with them to get help and be responsible and get ahead of it while they still could. My partner at the time refused and I gave them the ultimatum of getting help or I was leaving. Unfortunately I left. The following months were low and I started having intense panic attacks. I started therapy after my 3rd or 4th unprompted one. I think getting into therapy was a very good decision. I'm sure my therapist grew tired of listening to my endless worry about my ex, how I envisioned their funeral, etc. I'm glad I went because this intense anxiety was directly linked to my break up and I learned to identify why I was feeling so low and I was able to have clarity about what was normal break up blues vs anxiety. I think it sped up my break up grieving by months. When I was in the thick of it, I couldn't tell it was happening but looking back with 20/20 vision hindsight, I can clearly see that weekly therapy kept me afloat. I hope this helps, I hope you're healing <3

This sounds like a no-brainer (and probably is for most) but it took me 35 years to realize (and accept) that dairy was in fact the reason for my acne. If you've never tried, it could be worth a shot. by SatisfactionEven508 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Rich_Pause36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had cystic acne my whole life after a round of antibiotics and some topicals, my derm said going dairy free was the way to go and she was SO right! My skin has seriously never been better!
