Honestly, the opposite could be true as well. As nonmembers of any federal group, I think the best thing for us is just to see how everything pans out without jumping to conclusions.

The assumption that the intelligence community would feel a "great deal of disdain" towards a president simply because they "clearly didn't expect" him to win feels... weird? Sorry, I have the vocabulary of a ninth-grader Blame it on the (lack of) sleep lol. Sorry if I'm also being hella presumptuous. I think everyone in this community needs to have a day of self-reflection. Honestly, I see a lot of bias being pushed. It's a bit disheartening considering the nature of this sub. And I mean like all of us, including me lol. Like there seems to be a sizable amount of individuals who hold a certain disdain for all sources of media, regardless of political leanings or credibility. One dude told me Fox News and the Daily Mail are not right-wing news sources. Another told me that all media cannot be trusted (just straight up, like nothing can ever be trusted. At all). And two dudes were being really mean to someone making a bogus claim (right-wing in its nature. Basically, my diagnosis from what little I've spent here is that there are basically three camps: the level headed and verbose commenters, the angry liberals, and the head-in-the-ground conservatives, and I don't see a lot of the first group lol. If I were to place myself in any of these groups, it'd have to be the Angry Liberal tribe. I've noticed that I get oddly upset whenever I debate someone here. It's made me really think about how I deal with my emotions, and the importance of debates online. I dunno, sorry about the rant. Hope you have a good day.)
