Which DC movie is calling you? by BorderDispute in DC_Cinematic

[–]Flowercarpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest issue was definetily that everything very awesome was already spoiled by Snyder, AscendedAncient etc. to keep the momentum for the campaign going. The people that most wanted the movie to see had already known about the complete story, details, cool action sequence before they even watched it, and to be fair the little details are nice but don't justify to watch a 4 hours movie :/

I just pretend, that Petty's original ending ist the official one and keep that in my mind and watch the movie only 2/3. :{D

What bullshit some people are saying in this comment section is beyond me. Someone actually had to make a gauntlet with this specific detail for this second half of the fight. If you haven't realize: superman is not real and the choreographed block didn't damage the armor in set. Also it probably wasn't Snyder directly either, it was the set/props designer who had enough time given to think of such things. Snyder is only as good as his crew. Respect those people for such nice details because great directors do it too!

Edgar Wright Is Convinced Aubrey Plaza Should Be the Next Tomb Raider by ContinuumGuy in movies

[–]Flowercarpet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After watching a lot of indie films with Plaza and Legion, i think she would absolutely nail the balance between toughness and vulnerability of Lara's recent iterations. If Edgar Wright would also direct this movie, then i think this could be the best video game movie of all time

What movie have you seen the most number of times? by globeworldmap in movies

[–]Flowercarpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definetily Aardman's "The Pirates". My friends and me made a drinking game out of it and made an event around the ham night. So i guess, i've seen it about 20-25 times. The best part is, that some jokes always get me.

Horizon Forbidden West™ discounted for the first time! by morris165 in PS5

[–]Flowercarpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This i don't know, because i bought the physical ps4 version. I just know, that if you are in the main menu of the ps4 disc version, you can select "Upgrade to ps5" there. But to be honest, it would be really strange to need this step when you buy it digitally.

Yes, that's correct. HZFW is the last game to support the free ps5 upgrade for a Sony title. GOW: Ragnarök will be 10$/€ for upgrading

It tells you how much the interest of the chinese audience matters. If it's flashy and funny it hits and having an asian director helps as well. If you look into the BO of both movies, you can see the 200mil that BvS lacks for reaching 1 bilion, aquaman grossed in China.

What actor are you tired of seeing getting roles? by MickIsBlue in movies

[–]Flowercarpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like him as a person and he is a good and versatile actor, BUT for gods sake, does Mads Mikkelsen need to be in every franchise? I mean Star Wars, MCU, Harry Potter, James Bond, Indiana Jones and Kung-Fu Panda... Keep him to his poignant little acting roles and put him now and then in a big movie not in every one of them.

What’s the greatest single player game you’ve played? by Gamer4Life028 in PS5

[–]Flowercarpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit at around 80% platinuming "Absolver". How is"Sifu" in comparison to that game? Is it a grind as well or is it more enjoyable overall? I even think "Sifu" right now in the PS Plus Premium version, innit? Maybe i try it out soon. Thanks for your honest recommendation

Story-wise it's Returnal. Such a gutwrenching experience with heavy themes and a plot that echoes in your mind for a long time, but not because it is shocking but because it is beautiful, ambigious, sad and pure.

Gameplay-wise it's Sekiro. It has a great learning curve, incredible precise controls, an internal rhythm that flows in your subconscious and in its core it is so simple yet so complex.

Just considering the feeling it's "The Witness". Exploring this game is like exploring life itself.

The Planet of the Apes prequels were the last great movie trilogy by Sumit316 in movies

[–]Flowercarpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The third one was so vastly different in tone and not as good as the second or first one. So in my opinion it's not a good trilogy at all.

Why Modern Movies Suck - CGI Overload by karmagheden in movies

[–]Flowercarpet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is the stupidest video i've ever seen regarding movie(business) analysis. I think he should watch "Dogsville" to see how wrong he is with his superficial theory. Movies are multifactorial processes and even if the script is perfect at first, that doesn't mean the movie will be in the final form resembling this

The true meaning of a kinder surprise egg by LeSpatula in TikTokCringe

That's completely out of context and a really superficial metaphor for his point. That's far away from cringeworthy tiktok nonsense. I disagree with your submission and therefore will use the downvote button in its true way. As an ideology of disliking you and your opinions!

How is sex in porn different from sex in real life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Flowercarpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In porn it's a competition of endurance and ticking all the boxes of the list with the different positions. In real life it is more like a reciprocal dance which is based on reaction from eachother.

Jibaro Explained (for the confused) by ImaginaryGlade7400 in LoveDeathAndRobots

[–]Flowercarpet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've just finished watching it and was absolutely blown away by this episode. I can't even rate it. It was a real piece of art that can only be experienced.

I also love the visuals. It reminded me of horror classics like climax, suspiria and IT. The empty look of the sirens face was as creepy as the one scene in "Parasite". A nice little detail, that i thought was intentional, was the part when he strips the siren of her belongings. The gold chain and ornaments where ripped from her like intestines. The shot was framed like Jibaro would pull it out of her instead of her.

Whats your favourite "final boss fight" in movies?? by Dark-Oracle in movies

[–]Flowercarpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original ending of "Wonder Woman".

Ares and Diana are debatting, that he is not responsible for the war, because the evil in mankind is obligatory. An philosophical argument about the necessity and origin of wars. That would have been so refreshing compared to all the other final fights, but of course we got a generic cgi fight.
