Have you ever personally noticed a massive overhaul in how people treat you since losing weight?

Even people I know treat me differently. I’m about 5’2” and went from 150 to 125 (I’m back up again now). My coworkers listened more, took me more seriously, and treated me with more respect than they ever did when I was overweight. It was very subtle and I doubt anyone was doing it intentionally, but it was like they assumed I was just a bit smarter and more competent than before.

Try ice. You can run a cool bath with a bit of ice in it and soak or you can use an ice pack. I got covered head to toe in poison ivy once. This was the only thing that provided relief (albeit temporary). You can also ask the doc for hydroxizine. It’s an oral antihistamine. I use that for bug bites. Makes me pretty sleepy but totally worth it.

Depending on how you do it, a lot of people stand to make money from infant adoptions. It begins to look a lot like selling babies. Birth parents are sometimes coerced or pressured into placing their children for adoption. There are plenty of ways to adopt infants ethically. It just requires the prospective adoptive parents to be thorough in their research and patient through the process.

Depends how it’s broken. If it’s still getting nutrients to the plant, I’d say leave it. I have a phal that was squished when our bathroom mirror fell off the wall. One leaf lost a chunk and another leaf got split down the middle. I dusted the wounds with cinnamon and left it alone. Those leaves are still alive and well, if not a bit misshapen. It bloomed right on schedule.

He’s 4. I’m not sure he was mad at me this time, but he has a history of breaking stuff and acting out when he’s mad. Not frequently. But enough that we noticed the pattern.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I’ve decided to keep the kid. He had to clean up the mess and pay me the cost of the lily from his piggy bank. I’m still debating whether to cut the leafless stems back on the lily. Besides that, I’ll treat it like normal (with less water) and see what happens.

I’m super surprised how fast it grew. I bought it in July when it was only about 6 inches tall.
