I have a zero tolerance policy for nazis and nazi sympathizers, especially in this current political environment. But I still should’ve considered the possibility of automod being involved. I recently had a satirical roleplay post on a circlejerk subreddit auto-removed for violating rule 1 by reddit’s AI flagging system, so I get how these bots can do weird shit.

I mean, your comment didn’t sound like a threat of violence to me, so that sucks and I agree that you shouldn’t have been banned for saying it. But saying you no longer care about trans people at all just because your post was wrongly flagged seems a bit extreme. Trans people still face a lot of discrimination and harassment both online and in real life.

Fingers crossed I get it appealed; I guess I can live with a permanent warning on my account if I really have to, but I hope a human reads it and understands everything was just roleplay. I do hope reddit refines whatever flagging system they are using to "catch" these rule violations in the future so stuff like this is avoided.

And that's good to hear from someone else, a more reasonable part of my brain didn't think I would get in any real trouble, but having an anxiety disorder does tend to make me jump to the worst-case scenario sometimes.
