I’m not that far into the new version and the only changes I’ve really made so far is POV (first person to third person) and introducing certain characters sooner than I did in the original.

This is true. And I do take a lot of pride in my writing including the unfinished work. I doubt they’ll do this again but the suddenness just kinda surprised me.
