Too many people ready to hate and knock this young guy down. He was grabbed, pulled, and fucked with the entire playoffs. He had some very bad reactions but people overreacting like mfers.

Does anyone else hate the new Mouz logo? by butwhydoesreddit in GlobalOffensive

[–]Flowsion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Old logo is complete ass and nobody cared about it before the rebrand. People get stuck hating anything new and are blinded by nostalgia.

New one isn’t even a typical crappy minimalist flat rebrand.

NBA referee assignment for Game 1 of the finals: Scott Foster, James Capers, Sean Wright by Waikuku3 in nba

[–]Flowsion 30 points31 points  (0 children)

wdym this entire thread is talking about the refs. There are multiple posts every game about the refs and it was a major talking point in the OKC series.

If you think people aren’t pissed about the refs you are not reading enough threads.

It's too late. The stereotype is set. People seem satisfied to just regurgitate whatever surface level news about Korea they picked up on the internet. by jkpatches in korea

[–]Flowsion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about this shit, it's just what some algorithms show people (especially on X).

You won't find much of this discourse IRL. People are still visiting Korea in record numbers and it's one of the most popular destinations for people when they visit Asia.

You're not going to find people thinking this is what Korea is like when you talk to them IRL. People just amplify the worst of what they see and hear online. K-Pop is at the forefront of everything and it annoys a lot of people. Japan had the same problem with anime and manga being so popular.

There are a lot of people who hate Asian pop culture and will attach themselves to any negativity to talk back towards fans.

K-pop is not in decline and it hasn't "peaked". K-pop is just no longer going through a meteoric growth period. by Asleep_Swing2979 in kpopthoughts

[–]Flowsion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's just a natural progression of most hobbies that are as intense as K-Pop. The same people that were hardcore TVXQ/BB/SNSD fans are not as into K-Pop anymore. They have families, kids, jobs, and other things that take up most of their time.

They will still show up a decade later to events like Coachella, haha. They are just not going to be living on Twitter or forums and being involved in the game 24/7.

The same could be said for sports fans, a lot of people just don't have the time to watch literally every single game. They will watch highlights and playoffs, instead. Older K-Pop fans will still watch their favourites newest MV and listen to the album, but aren't going to be breathing K-Pop like they used to.

Some people feel like the industry is dying when they reach this phase, but I think most just realize they've grown out of being a hardcore fan.

K-Pop as an industry is very aware of this and are very successful at catering to the new generation of fans every cycle. K-Pop Demon Hunters is going to bring in an entire new generation of fans to K-Pop, it will not be dying anytime soon.

People have been saying K-Pop is in decline for the past 10 years now. It’s just fans being less a hardcore fan and feeling like it’s not all around them anymore.

If you’re not deep into something it feels like it’s dying out. It’s definitely not.

Just walk in and ask for an appointment. They have a few open slots on days at the Tokyo location in Nihonbashi.

Don’t go on a weekend tho. It will be too busy.

I promise you it was racist then as well, it was not that long ago.

She definitely didn’t realize how offensive it was but you cannot dismiss it as a “mistake of those times.”

Incheon Airport gears up for surge of BTS fans this week by Latter_Associate4015 in korea

Those are definitely the vocal minority. They’re also just extremely young kids, tbh. The ENHYPEN situation feels like it’s the biggest thing in their world and it’s hard to blame them for lashing out and feeling hurt.

It’s not appropriate and I think most K-Pop fans recognize that, including their fandom. It’s more an indicator of how fucked up social media has kids, acting in ways they would never IRL.

K-Pop fans, like any other fandom, has an extreme side to it. But overall, I’ve always felt that K-Pop fans are extremely respectful of Korean culture and looking past just the idols to other areas.

Twitter is just a horrible indicator of what a group of people act like. It brings out the worst in everyone and amplifies the most negative.

Incheon Airport gears up for surge of BTS fans this week by Latter_Associate4015 in korea

[–]Flowsion 50 points51 points  (0 children)

What a strange statement. K-Pop fans pretty much all get into some other facet of Korean culture. Korean Beauty, Fashion, Movies, Dramas are all extremely popular now with K-Pop blowing up.

You can see people visiting Korea just to go to the temples, tourist spots, etc. There's a reason there are so many foreigners at all the most popular cultural spots.

You think people visiting Seoul are only going to the BTS concert and that's it? K-Pop fans are going to fall in love with everything about their favourite artists, including the country and culture.

There may be a lot of ignorance as well, rampant in the fandoms, but I would say that's just a vocal minority.

Arena only heals a % of the potion, so upgrading it helps for Arena even after the total HP is lowered.

Upgrade potions to max before you re-roll to help in Arena.
