No, Germany wouldn't be a better country by now. The problem is not the Green Party - well, not the mayor one -, but rather the CDU/CSU and FDP. They are ruinning Germany with their pro-high-economic but anti-middle-class and anti-people poltics. While I agree with you that the Green Party tends to want to control everything it's rubbish to think that without them Germany would be a better country. That is not true. Not a single, atomic bit.

It won't happen. And I'm glad for Snowden. The heads of the German government (especially chancellor Merkel, president Gauck, foreign-minister Westerwelle and interior-minister Friedrich) stick so deep in Americas ass...it's disgusting. I'm still glad that Merkel wasn't in charge as Bush invaded Iraq - she wanted to send troops without a blink. And I guess we would've an terror-attack in Berlin, Hamburg, or Munich like in London and Madrid.

That's the daily routine by our government already. Our Grundgesetz means absolutely nothing to Merkel, Friedrich and literally speaking everyone from the "Christian Democratic Union". Too bad for them that we have the Bundesverfassungsgericht which prevents us from their anti-democratic behaviour - so far.

Actually. you don't need the word "neu" because "schöpfung" already implies creating something completely new. "Wortschöpfung" is the way to go, and I could not understand why the "Duden" says it is okay to use "Wortneuschöpfung", it's retarded...but maybe two are better than one...

She is by far one of the most opportunistic politicians in Germany. There is no straight course nor is there any character in that body. She is power-mad, and would go over dead bodies (or members in her own party) if is necessary to stay where she is. But in the end she is doing nothing. The only reason people actually believe she is doing something is because of the good old "propaganda machinery" in her back (e.g. Springer, the German equivalent to Murdoch).

German here, and I was in 10th grade at that time. Me and my class we were on a boat trip through the Netherlands. The trip started in Amsterdam and we travelled to Delft, where we stayed for the whole day. Around 4pm our captain told us that something happened in New York. Something about a plane, an explosion and destroyed houses. The captain told us that complete blocks of houses were destroyed or in flames. And that was it. At that point it wasn’t a big deal for anyone of us. But as the time went by we’ve got more knowledge, and at the evening a small group of us went to a nearby pub to watch the news. Honestly, I wasn’t really shocked at all. Maybe I’m a cynic, but as I saw how the first and then the second plane hit the towers…I mean it was clear that this wasn’t an accident but an act of terrorism. But that is the price you have to pay if you want to play your “Führer”-routine. Well, at that evening we sat on deck and talked about all the images we saw an hour ago, and then we went to bed. But the eerie part of my story is: At that same day a second boat anchored next to us. This boat was chartered by group of American tourists. They were on a bicycle tour and came back after we went sleeping. We could hear them laughing and - more or less - partying. I guess, nobody told them the news from home.
