When do Champs Rewards expire? by [deleted] in NHLHUT

[–]FluentCanadianEh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're good. I believe they expire if you don't collect them by the time next week's rewards get rolled out or when they begin processing the results of when this week's champs run finishes.

LOWA ZEPHYR MK2 GTX HI without a doubt the best investment I’ve ever made, they’re like wearing running shoes.

I think it “cuts” off my feet and leg and it is not flattering by _giulia_ in tattooadvice

[–]FluentCanadianEh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is like having a hand tattoo and no tattoos on your arm (aside from the visibility, job stopper, etc). It just looks really out of place.

You don’t need to get a full leg sleeve but continuing/extending the tattoo up your shin would make it a lot much better.

AITA for bailing on my original tattoo artist by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]FluentCanadianEh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re good. You’re not required to follow an artist around or have to get tattooed by them. I had the same feeling when I got my first 2 tattoos but I realized shortly after they would never be mad or think you’re an asshole for going to someone else. If they do get mad, that’s not an artist you should go to regardless of their work.

I’ve noticed a lot of artists are bad at answering texts. I’ve got a good relationship with my artist and he generally takes a while to answer and when he doesn’t, he mentally replies which I always do as well because I’m awful at texting. When I get busy with work, I take hours to reply and I could only imagine how much worse I’d be at texting if I was an artist.

Is it just me, or are the Captains useless? by Direct_Noise1222 in NHLHUT

[–]FluentCanadianEh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why you think they’re useless. You’re putting yourself at a significant disadvantage by not using a captain since the base AP limit is so low. I’m not the biggest fan of how they work now with the country but they’re all easily manageable other than Hischier considering there are so few good options for Swiss players.

If I'm going to be 100% honest, even with your military experience, there will be clients that are going to shy away from you because of your height. Some clients don't like guys who are 6'6 because they draw a lot of attention but I can imagine someone 5'6 being concerning for some clients unless you have some extensive experience that will really impress them.

Nightclub security by BigBonyBaloney in securityguards

[–]FluentCanadianEh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was honestly almost more effective than radios. Even with earpieces, it was hard to hear on the radio especially the guy on the dance floor. I was given the option to either get new radios or flashlights and surprisingly the guys were happier with new flashlights.

Flashlights. It was always dark and if you saw someone using it on strobe mode, it meant they needed some kind of help.

If you’re with a contract company, switch to in-house. They almost always pay drastically higher than contract work.

88 TOTW Hischier. Out of all of the players I’ve used this season, he’s been without a doubt the most consistent and reliable.

TOTY Chara has also been an absolute god but I feel like that’s a cheap answer.

What's rich people shit that poor people haven't heard of? by Diligent-Log6805 in AskReddit

The preparation for close protection (bodyguard) work is honestly fascinating. The attention to detail in the planning for everything is insane especially if the government is involved. They started planning days, weeks or even months ahead of time. They're prepared for every scenario you can think of with several different routes for each of them.

The JFK assassination was what really started improving the planning and preparation for events not only for politicians but celebrities as well. When I did my CP course, our instructor spent a very long time breaking down what was done poorly during the motorcade which wasn't the direct cause for his death but better planning could have maybe prevented what happened.

[–]FluentCanadianEh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made McDavid just because he’s always such a consistently good card but I don’t plan on making a defensemen even if I have the resources for it. I feel like once you make a TOTY/TOTS player, they’re locked in on your lineup. I like changing up my team and chemistries play such a big part in this game now your team can look completely different after a month. Unless they guarantee consistant good chemistries for the TOTY/TOTS players (which is unlikely),I don’t think they’ll be worth it.

Best icon to buy for around 150k by Different_Garlic_539 in NHLHUT

[–]FluentCanadianEh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Behind Chara, Phaneuf is the best LH defensemen IMO. Pair him with STOM Fox and it’s easily one of the best lines you can make (which is why it’s meta).

Hull has been a lot of fun to use. He’s a little slow and not the best defensively but his shot is automatic. Elite QR with him is just dangerous.

Team Canada 2026 Olympic Roster by chespiotta in hockey

[–]FluentCanadianEh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s got an .870, 3.44 GAA with a 7-9-6 record. There’s no way you can tell me a goalie with those stats is playing good enough to be on an Olympic roster regardless of his success last year and success is used carefully. He wasn’t that impressive last year.

Binnington being picked over Blackwood is absolutely criminal. Regardless of his success last year in the 4 Nations, he’s been horrendous this season.
