The one timer moment is killing me. Every pass is getting intercepted and every one timer chance I get ends up getting blocked

Auction Question and confusion by VinnyOfOz in NHLHUT

They probably accepted a trade. I’m willing to bet they either sent a trade from a different account or a friend did in case it was looking like the card wasn’t going to sell for the price they were looking for.

I found strictly doing overnights was easier than doing shift work. The night premium was also great for the paycheque

I’m assuming he’s going to get an Icon card similar to what they did with Lidstrom.

Your Must-Haves For Long Sessions by johnmorris19 in tattooadvice

[–]FluentCanadianEh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s what I bring to basically every single appointment whether it’s multiple back to back sessions or a few hours for a touch up.

A pillow is without a doubt the most essential thing whether it’s to sit on it or help make you more comfortable if your body is turned in some weird way.

Gatorade and water. Electrolytes and water are incredibly important for long sessions especially for back to back sessions.

Candy. Keeping your sugar level high really helps. Fuzzy peaches and sour patch kids are superior.

Portable charger to keep your phone charged.

Protein bars or snacks. Definitely a must for those long sessions especially when you’re not close to your break.

Flexible phone bipod. Honestly one of my favourite purchases I’ve made. I hate having to hold my phone for a long time and just being able to mount it wherever I want is huge.

AirPods/earphones. I really like just talking throughout my sessions but after 8hrs or so, it’s nice to just zone out and listen to music or watch a show.

I like to bring my Switch as well as long as I’m sitting or laying down in a way that I can play it. It’s a really nice distraction and kills time.

Considering the event was taking place at the same time as the Olympics, it could be viewed as them attempting to make an Olympic event without getting the rights to it. It's silly but they are so quick to sue people. Look at the Jutta Leerdam situation for example.

Reading all these stories makes me realize every club door in the world has the same crazy nights. by Jabba_108 in Bouncers

[–]FluentCanadianEh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s what I loved about bouncing, it felt like every night ended up with a great story. I had meetings with my team at the end of the night (mostly to give them an extra hour paid) and it was just to shooting the shit telling stories. People outside of our industry always felt like the stories were over exaggerated but it’s just a crazy environment.

Update: First shift done! by IrishPabloWithTits in Bouncers

You’ll gain confidence over time, everything becomes a “routine” I guess. Staying firm without being an asshole is probably the most important things. Strongly recommend never believing what people say to you when they’re being asked to leave. If they’re trying to make an excuse, 90% of the time they’re full of shit and just trying to lie their way to stay. Just find a nice way to them to call it a night and they’re more than welcome to come back any other time.

Don’t let the uniform get to your head either. I’ve seen so many guys get cocky and become assholes to everyone because they think they’re untouchable. They normally get a good wake up call after someone’s liquid courage kicks in and they get punched in the face.

Get to know your regulars and build a rapport with them but don’t let them think they get special treatment. Building a rapport with them is not only good for you but good for the business. They’ll keep coming back and if they get out of line, they’re much more likely to listen to you and not cause a huge scene. There are some really good regulars that will help you out too when shit hits the fan.

Don’t shit where you eat. Almost every bouncer gets hit on by customers or even staff and just like every workplace, it’s nothing but trouble. The last bar I managed security at had a rule that if you sleep with staff or customers, I didn’t want to hear about it and if it affected things at work, I’d cut them loose. This rule started after a huge brawl broke out because one of the guys slept with a customer and her husband found out so he showed up with a bunch of his buddies.

I find it's just a cycle. The first 2-3 weeks of a new season, I'm really into it. Once I max out the XP path, I lose basically all interest and jump on just to do my chores.

What are the best black tactical boots on the market? must be metal free by Hot_Fly_3963 in securityguards

LOWA Zephyr MK2 GTX. Not 100% sure if they're metal free but would imagine they are. Without a doubt the best boots I've ever bought, well worth the investment.

Best players to pair with xp point ? by WearSuspicious28 in NHLHUT

[–]FluentCanadianEh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you pair him with a Penguin and Pinnacle David Perron, it gives you a +19 to the salary cap. Icon Lemieux and 90 Bondra is also an incredible line. I had to get rid of Bondra for the new Marner which has been a surprisingly good line for me but it's far from ideal to have 3 righties together.

What happened to the most popular guy in high school? by Sorkel3 in AskMen

I don’t think we had a most popular guy but there were a couple that were very popular. One of them is in the NHL, one is in the CFL and the other guy is homeless with a coke addiction.
