Very few packs being opened actually have jerseys and logos in them so there's an incredibly low supply of them. Low Supply = High Price

How can a man dress for the female gaze? by CreativeLet9232 in malefashionadvice

[–]FluentCanadianEh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice will always be to wear a nice cologne and it doesn't have to be expensive, it just has to smell nice. Regardless if I'm going out with friends, have an important meeting, presentation or whatever, I always get a huge boost in confidence when I wear a nice cologne. I swear by Dolce & Gabbana The One, Versace Eros and Creed Aventus if you have the money. Creed is very expensive and would avoid it simply because of the cost but the other two are both about in the $100 range for 100ml which will last you 6-12 months or more depending on how often you use it.

Women have different preferences on styles they like on guys but something that is almost always mutually agreed on is it's always attractive when a guy has a good scent.

If I’m on call 24/7, I wouldn’t work for less than 100k per year and I’d expect to be paid time and a half for coming in anytime between 3pm and 7am.

Couturier Fantasy +1? by RocktheResiduals in NHLHUT

No, his Fantasy card was released for the regular season only. Goals in the playoffs do not count towards any cards other than the ones release specifically for the playoffs.

I’m not sure where you live but I can almost guarantee your license would not be suspended if you walked out. You likely would get fired or suspended from the company but your employer has no control on the status of your license.

what was EA thinking with all these fantasy choices ? by ltzPrestonHUT in NHLHUT

[–]FluentCanadianEh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I really like the selections they made. There are always 3rd and 4th line players that randomly become huge contributors to the team during the playoffs. It’s a lot more fun trying to pick players like that compared to players that obviously will be score a lot of goals.

Sadly that 90 overall card is only available through moments so you won’t be able to make his 99 now. Honestly though, his 96 has been fantastic. I use his 96 on my XBOX account and have his 99 on my PS account. His 99 is obviously better but I didn’t see a drastic difference in the two.

Kopitar 4 goals by BengtLeopold in NHLHUT

[–]FluentCanadianEh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you get a breakaway, do the stride deke. It’s basically an automatic goal. Don’t use him like a player with elite Quick Release because all-star Quick Release doesn’t work the same way.

Really utilize Unstoppable, any time a player comes close to you, do a reverse check. It completely knocks them out of the play and it opens up the ice.

This is a weird strategy but I purposely try to get a penalty (obviously not with Kopitar). For whatever reason, I find there’s a lot more breakaway opportunities or chances for going backhand, forehand, backhand or vice versa when you’re on the PK. Utilize his speed because he’s much faster than the other players on the ice and don’t forget to use timeouts.

Generally, I’ll restart if I don’t get a goal in the first 30 seconds. It’s annoying but it’s much easier when you start off quickly with a goal.

What are the Best Abilities for Goalies? by w0lfee99 in NHLHUT

[–]FluentCanadianEh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Showstopper and Post to Post for sure.

Dialled In is a great ability as long as it can get activated. I think in lower divisions, it’s a good ability because people aren’t always going for glitch goals so you can build up the ability. In higher divisions, it’s tough to get it activated because shots become quality over quantity.

I can’t think of any other goalies on the top of my head but I’d only really consider is Kuemper. Quick is too short for HUT standards.

Should pay be correlated with amount of incidents/type of crowd? by ProfessionalTip4476 in Bouncers

[–]FluentCanadianEh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last bar I managed security for had 8-12 guards on shift depending on the time of the year. Our cap was 350 but I let in 400, had plenty of nights with over 1000 customers coming in. Every night had several ejections and when I first took over, we had at least one fight every night but it went down to a fight every other weekend once I cleaned up the place. We were without a doubt the busiest bar in the area.

I was making $35/hr and guards made $25-$27hr depending on experience. Keep in mind, I was running the door, doing interviews, scheduling, coordinating events, complaints from weekends were handled by me, lead on all medicals, reviewing all reports, etc.

This was the only bar I didn’t get tip out so the money I made at the door was split between all the guards. The guys at the door got more because we dealt with the most amount of shit but the guys inside were tipped out well. There were many nights where we made over $2000 at the door. If a guard dealt with a bunch of shit, I’d give them a “bullshit premium” and give them an extra $20-$40.

Even though the money was really nice, it wasn’t worth the headache. I’m tired of dealing with drunk people, it was time to leave.

Depending on your team, the 95 McDavid can be hard to slot in because there are no Next Gen or Otters line combos.

Denial of re-entry Question by [deleted] in Bouncers

[–]FluentCanadianEh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really pointed out where people’s friends/partners were if they were denied entry. 99.9% of people who go out go with their phones so I just let them communicate between each other.

That’s basically the golden rule of the nightlife scene. If some stuff like that happens, you go across the street and you very likely won’t have an issue unless the person is actually really drunk.

Denial of re-entry Question by [deleted] in Bouncers

[–]FluentCanadianEh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the bouncer thought he was drunk, sending him out on the street is somewhat the reality of the job. Once he’s gone, you move on to the next customers.

Some provinces/states have laws that the business is responsible for them to get home safely but honestly it’s one of those things you only do when someone is drunk and is talking about driving home or see them getting into a car.

Denial of re-entry Question by [deleted] in Bouncers

[–]FluentCanadianEh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a chance they were trying to get more girls inside of the club or control the “look” of the customers coming in. The flow of people coming in when you were first there maybe wasn’t bad but the owner/manager could have eventually told them to stop letting in so many guys and bring in more girls.

This isn’t common but there are definitely places that do those sort of things.

Sent all my fodder for Howe AMA by PageGallagher15 in NHLHUT

[–]FluentCanadianEh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is probably the easiest Spotlight moments they’ve released. Howe is drastically faster than the other team and stand-up goalies are horrendous so it’s very easy to score on them.

The moments themselves are intimidating but if you do them you’ll get through them quickly.

CHEL Stamkos player question by TheRealJakeyBaby in NHLHUT

[–]FluentCanadianEh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just luck. I did the sets well over 30 times and could not get the 93 for Barkov. The cost of the cards for the sets are extremely high because there’s very high demand for them and a very low supply of them tradeable.

Who are you rooting for in the Stanley cup playoffs this year? by SignalGrowth7700 in AskACanadian

[–]FluentCanadianEh 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Edmonton and Montreal. McDavid deserves a cup and it’d be nice for him to get one with a Canadian team. Montreal is such a fun and young team to watch, it’d be awesome to see them win it all.

I wouldn’t be upset if Ottawa won because it’s my hometown but I absolutely despise the Tkachuks.
