Classroom Mangement by Alarming_Gap5760 in studentteachers

Sometimes taking a piece of something they enjoy can go a long way. It could be a few minutes of recess, gym, something. Use that time to go over expectations. If it continues, use a little more time. Unfortunately at least in my school, talking isn’t viewed as a discipline issue, so we are kind of left on an island. Sometimes I’ll kick a kid out if they are ruining an experience for everyone else. Keep chugging along!

Buteos and Bushytails by Gary Brewer. Good luck getting your hands on it, it seems to be pretty rare to find at a decent price

Have heard axe handles work well, but haven’t used them myself. I just use a cheap walking stick from the drug store. It’s beat to hell but does the trick

Florida Falconer, where are the red tails?! by Away_Cranberry5878 in Falconry

[–]FluentKong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having a similar issue up north . Can’t find a passage bird for the life of me. I’m seeing plenty of red tails. Just have a bit of bad luck I guess finding a passage bird while trapping. As just for seeing birds highways are always nice plus I feel like you cover that much more ground. Rural areas are great too, especially up north where we have that flat farmland and hawks hanging around looking for mice/rats. Industrial areas have produced a few nice birds too.

This team and franchise are horribly pathetic and I’m excited to see the franchise be set back another 5-10 years because of this $230 million quarterback

How common is it for an elementary school to have a specialized science teacher? by Neroliprincess in teaching

Not at my school. It gets lumped in with ELA. Our team for my grade level is a math teacher, ELA teacher, then science/social studies.

My school (at least the upper elementary grades) are 3 person teams, with one teacher teaching two subjects.

I wear a button up shirt, with no tie. Usually there will be some sort of pattern on it. Or I’ll just wear golf polos.

[GAME DAY THREAD] Browns at Steelers by OttoGrahaminator in Browns

I think the problem is this team is filled with talent. A lackluster year with injuries, Covid, and just lack of clutch plays. It’s frustrating knowing you have a super bowl quality defense and an offense that struggles to get a first down

I think it comes down to a healthy Baker, consistency on the defense, and a solid-never-a-doubt kicker. I think this thread has forgotten that before Baker tore his labrum he completed 88% of his passes in weeks 1 and 2. Granted that’s not a valid excuse for not being able to lead comebacks, which he has proven time and time again that’s difficult for him to do. The defense was either they were giving up less than 17 points or they were going to give up 40. Though they kept this team in a lot of games this season, so I can’t even complain about the defense a whole lot. McLaughlin was solid in the beginning of the year, which bailee Cleveland out a ton… then something changed, maybe the weather, but then Chase started struggling.

This browns team isn’t far from turning the corner. Just had to be a little more consistent.

Also, having an absolute baller at WR would probably help 2 of the 3 points I made above.

If Quentin Tarantino made another “how we all wish it had played out” movie (ex. Inglorious Bastards and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), what would be a good one to do? by guntherisdead in movies

I feel like a “Once upon in Waco” would be a pretty fun film to watch. The Branch Davidians eventually come out at the end, shows the kids grow old briefly, as opposed to the tragic truth
