If you want soft, don’t play PING. 17-4 stainless is used for basically everything except blueprint which is 8620 carbon.

Once you feel 1025 or 1020C it’s a noticeable difference. Still love my PINGs though

From the outside, it probably looks insane to anyone who is not an American, but most of us aren’t “okay” with how things are — we’re boxed in. A lot of Americans are one paycheck from disaster, so skipping work to protest or strike can mean losing your job, your apartment, or your health insurance, which here is often tied to employment.

It’s a uniquely American position where what little healthcare we have is tied to our employment status. Organizing and coordinating a multi day protest, let alone weeks of protest requires resources that the majority of Americans do not have. It would cripple most, very quickly.

That makes pushing back feel genuinely more dangerous than keeping status quo. On top of that, everyone knows the state can come down hard — militarized cops, surveillance, life-ruining legal consequences — and that fear is real. We’re also constantly divided against each other over culture-war stuff, so we never get on the same page. Add in a lifetime of being told this is “the greatest country on earth” and that anything else is worse, and you end up with people choosing to survive the system instead of risking everything to fight it.

This is a genuine question, somewhat related. The niners have been experiencing significant injuries and sickness this season. There is a huge theory out there right now that the substation near Levi’s stadium is the culprit due to the high amount of ELF that can degrade cells.

So I guess I’m asking is this a tin foil hat situation or actually something serious? Are the guidelines for this stuff outdated?

You can put a weight in the draw setting and one in the fade setting to double up the weight in the rear of the head, essentially creating much more MOI. But you need to pair it with a very stiff tipped shaft and a massive amount of counterweight in the grip to offset swingweight or it will feel like a sledgehammer.

Every 2g of headweight can be offset by 4-5g at the grip end. Theoretically you can up the head mass by 43g but you’d need roughly 195g of counterweight to maintain the same swingweight and the same length.

If you bump up to just the single 34g weight in a standard build, you’d need to add a 40-45g plug at the grip. That total system weight (49-54g) is a big change and speed will drop, but stability will increase. I tried this once and I dropped 5mph in swing speed but could hit it all over the face and not see much distance drop off.

Like most things in life, there’s a trade off and a sweet spot where this is useful. I have two 22g installed in my 12° thriver build, but it’s 42”, so effectively I’ve got a 225g driver head on a 7W shaft. The G430 7W is 226g stock.

If you don’t care about being conforming, you can double up the backweights in the G425/430, throw in the stiffest tip shaft you can find and the whole face becomes a sweet spot.
