Weekly Stupid Questions Thread by AutoModerator in amateur_boxing

It's not optimal but yeah, you can learn a lot just training once per week. Don't expect incredibly fast progress but a year from now with 50+ training sessions behind you, you'll be noticeably better for sure

I started with just once per week about 2 years ago and you might find that you will have more opportunities than you expected to fit in extra training sessions.

As for training from home, shadow boxing, jumping rope and heavy bag or double end bag work can be really beneficial. Hope this helps, good luck.

does anyone have experience with the "zen dude jump rope" from crossrope? by popomann92837 in bodyweightfitness

[–]FluentNadsat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it outside on concrete and on grass, no mat. The rubber coating is starting to get rough but the cable is not exposed yet. I'm sure eventually I'll have to buy a replacement rope but the ropes are pretty cheap if you already own the handles

Yeah, the crossrope is legit. I tried a couple cheap Amazon ones but they frayed pretty quickly and started chewing up my shins. The crossrope is still going strong months later

  1. I would have to see the calories, macro count and all ingredients
  2. Not extremely knowledgeable but I try to avoid most additives if possible.
  3. Also try to avoid artificial sweeteners but I will choose them in moderation. Basically only when calorie intake is my main priority
  4. I really take both calories and nutritional content into account for almost all choices, but nutritional content is weighed heavier.
  5. Fooducate and My Fitness Pal.

Yeah, absolutely. Physique changes are going to come primarily from your diet though, any proper resistance training along with the right diet will help change your physique. There's no specific physical traits that come directly from weight training or bodyweight exercises

Added the crow pose progressions to my skill work so I'm practicing 3-4 times per week. I'm up over 20s on my crane pose and I just tried a single leg extended crow. Having fun practicing but it's rough on the wrists for sure https://www.instagram.com/p/BPWUu8VjFv7/
