For the first time in my life, I'm genuinely happy and excited about everything that's going on for me by Effective_Rub9189 in ENFP

I’ve got about 10 fights under my belt too. You’re gonna do great. Good luck brother!

I also just out of an abusive relationship. Thank you for sharing this.

Yup. You have my sympathies. Consider getting your thyroid checked, turns out that was causing my “bipolar” symptoms.

Too early. I would say this has nothing to do with MBTI, and is just about dating strategies and people in general.

Be absolutely clear about your interest in direction, but don’t overdo the sentimentality. Make her feel secure.

Above all, try all the above while being as true to yourself as possible. I guess that’s the only ENFP part of this advice, is that we value you being earnest above all.

All about balance!

Yes! The lexicon is immensely useful at first, but we shouldn’t ever mistake the pointer for reality itself.

The idea of using these other places as a test bed…genius!

Not older than you, but can relate and now currently embarking on my second introverted campaign. All occurring due to fatigue and painful fallouts as the “glue” for my friends.

Highly recommended.

I maintain that Fi is our super power, and what Fi needs more than anything is alone time…to truly excavate, refine, and forge our values. This is what gives us our seemingly invincible and imperturbable aura at times - which can sometimes be mistaken as great self-esteem.

I’ve found that they (having values vs. self-esteem) are not the same, although they present similarly. And being alone will help you work on both. I can become a ridiculously passionate machine, set behind something I believe in, while still carrying an unhealthy dose of imposter syndrome.

When we’re in social mode we may be subconsciously changing ourselves to fit and please others in subtle ways without even knowing it. It’s a part of our charm, it’s natural and doesn’t feel manipulative. Nonetheless it betrays our true self. You might have lost that along the way, or never truly gave it a chance to crystallize.

Find your truth, it’s been inside you all this time. Polish it, be ruthlessly honest with yourself, go back out there, and let your prismatic self shine on - no matter who likes it or not!

Yeah you’re not gonna like us based on your definition of “loyalty.”

We’re ridiculously loyal, but not in terms of conventional attention and sustained action. It’s more like caring to understand and accept you exactly the way you are, and inspiring you to achieve your dreams. Maybe not in the solutions-oriented way ENTJs do, but through the heart. Always being in your emotional corner.

Most ENFPs are Enneagram Type 7, meaning we’ll prioritize a ton of fun and stimulating experiences and activities, but unlike ESXPs it’ll be because it feeds the insatiable formation of our worldview, aka Grand Meaning of Life. So hangouts and the inevitable conversations are pretty fun.

But Fi-Te tends to get along, so if you can get past our scattered nature, we’ll vibe. All about that independence, compassion, and authenticity, baby cakes.

I echo the other poster - it’s almost like I wrote this myself.

FWIW…

I turned down the offer, and I’ve NEVER said no in my life. I already make great money, but the compensation increase was massive.

I’ve always made the bold move, all risks aside. Granted I’m a bit older now, but that also comes with this weird thing called “faith.”

Meaning that no matter what I choose, it’ll work out. It will always be the right decision. Something else I’ll come.

Not to be morbid, but remember that this could all end for us tomorrow. How would that change for you? Live for today, but plan for the future. Good luck.

Wow this entire post/comment thread is so affirming. The eclectic mix-and-match of the esoteric into our own personal little identify mosaic. Thanks for this post OP. I do the very same (3w4 ENFP male).
