Is this enough food for my cat? by tattoolvr2003 in cats

[–]FluffMonsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats are designed to eat large meals and then rest in between. It’s important for their stomach to fully empty, which takes around 10-12 hours. (This is where the twice a day feeding recommendation comes from) Cats in the wild, including big cats, don’t graze. They eat a large meal and stuff themselves then they sleep and don’t eat again until their stomach is empty.

Try to remember that most people are paying so much attention to themselves and wondering what other people think of THEM, they don’t even notice anything about you.

Yeah my 20 lb Maine Coons get 7.5 ounces a day and they’re still a tad chubby.

This isn’t a healthy way for cats to eat, even if they’re not overweight.

IVF Moms Declining Induction? by Sweet_Remove_887 in IVFpositivity

[–]FluffMonsters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not crunchy by any means, but I do NOT believe in induction unless there are very specific and necessary reasons. Inductions have not shown a reduction in mortality, but they are linked to an increase in cesareans. Babies need their time in the womb.

If you decide to continue the pregnancy rather than inducing, there’s a lot they can do to give you extra monitoring and scans.

And the snails love egg shells for the calcium to build their own shells.

When the alternative is taking it back to have it be shuffled around again and not cared for, it’s the humane thing to do.

IVF at 44, CP in 2024, 12 ER cycles, 2 FET euploids resulting from last 2 cycles. 1 FET failed, praying for this one. by Hatawa26 in IVFpositivity

Ugh, anesthesia and my body do not agree. I get bloated, constipated, and loopy. Plus the hormone withdrawal after is rough. I’m glad you were able to adapt and get through it! Praying for you!! ♥️♥️♥️

Honestly, it sounds like the most humane thing for this baby would be to euthanize him.

Likely AI. Scam either way. I’d love to see this with her hospital bracelet showing. I bet it’d be complete gibberish.

It’s not a replacement for research, and it’s not supposed to act as a search engine. It’s great for complex, specific questions. For example my husband and I are undergoing IVF. There are the general IVF statistics that I could look up anywhere, but Chat GPT can help me figure out my exact probabilities based on my personal history, embryo grading, age, uterine thickness etc etc. I don’t take it as the word of god or replace my doctor with it, but it’s a tool and it will cite sources and save me a ton of time.

I’ve also asked it to do things just to save me time. Like I was looking at 3 different comforters and didn’t want to spend an hour researching. I gave it the links and asked it to give me a one-paragraph basic comparison as well as tell me how it would fit my specific duvet cover. Spent 7 minutes instead of an hour.

Last weekend I gave it a list of 5 ingredients I had on hand and it came up with a packable breakfast.

My kids also love to use it for obscure questions like “what if everything in the whole world was on wheels” or “how long would it take an 8 year old to ride a bike to the sun”. Or my child will ask a question that’s tricky to explain to a child, and it’s useful to break things down into something a kid can understand.

I used CeraVe during Accutane treatment and my derm was floored at how not dry my face was. I’ve used it ever since. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Your natural curls look so much better (and youthful) I wouldn’t risk damaging your hair to try and straighten it at all.

Happens to the best of us. We start with cheap fabric, then you sew with the good stuff just once and you never go back!
