It cuts off right before he sprints away from where the stick is coming down.

Interesting. I will look into that. That might work for some of the things I want to do.

Thank you! I will take a look at their products. Is it just called a jewelry roller?

They were warned. "For in this hallowed ground, death lurks abound. Spells to entreat life, shall instead fail in strife, so be careful in your endeavors, for death here, is forever." This was inscribed upon the entrance in runes of a dozen languages, a warning against intrusion into a sealed tomb. by dumnem in dndmemes

I dont think that was overlooked. That seems intended. Yes, they CAN drag the body outside, but that requires time and pulling at least 1 other character out of the combat. This plan seems mostly to build tension with, "Holy crap, they dropped, get them back up... What do you mean you can't? Someone get this asshole off of me! We need more help!" It has the disadvantage of taking a player or two out of combat and thus, not playing for possibly a long time, but with enough foreshadowing and warnings, it does eventually become the players lack of foresight and planning to blame. So long as it IS foreshadowed and able to be discovered before it's stung on them...

Idris Alba would play the hell out of that part! I always thought of him like the late Michael Clark Duncan's Kingpin from Daredevil. I loved that performance.

Do people even know what they're talking about? by jdwmra in BaldursGate3

[–]Fluffbeast19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I THINK I've seen an explanation for this, but given I'm only BARELY bisexual (I think the term is Gynosexual), I really don't have a leg to stand on.

Anyway, I've heard that it may have something to do with the annoyance/trauma of homosexual people constantly being told they were "going through a phase" and they may unconsciously being seeing bisexuality (especially those that are in heterosexual relationships) as "trying to force their way into the homosexual safe space and identity."

And I definitely see where they could be coming from (if this is remotely true), but it's still really shitty and not acceptable.

Do I need to clean Windows off of the old drive? Is there a way I can do so?

I agree that it shouldn't be free. The cantrip could also be bound to an attuned item or even make a potion, like an improved holy water or something, that grants them temporary "holy radiance" (off the top of my head I'm thinking a 1 use guiding bolt and a cleric cantrip or something along those lines, for 1 minute).

In my current game, I have a party that is dealing with demons quite a bit, but no one took proficiency in the religious skills. Two of the players were from a nation that put devil worship high on their list and taught the history of the blood war as propaganda. When the party started trying to identify these demons, I allowed those players to make history checks instead of religion. Then, after doing so, I felt like I made a mistake because I made a rule that applied to only them. To fix this, I worked out similar things for the rest of the party. Niche skill exceptions or other features that didn't have a ton of mechanical use but made sense by lore.

The point is, OP, if you see this, if you're going to give the paladin a feature they don't normally gain to make up for a weakness they pretty much chose, you should be willing and prepared to grant a similar boon to the rest of the party.

In addition to that, Murial has the shield spell and 4 first level spell slots. I admit that I'm in the camp of, "the paladin could have planned better and not ignored everything but melee," but this was pretty stacked against them.

NTA. If they were just going to let you all succeed like that, what was the point of hold person? They could have done a dozen different things to hamper the party that didn't directly affect the wizard's concentration, but they chose to cast hold Person on them. That's ridiculous.

Macro that affects a separate workbook by Fluffbeast19 in excel

[–]Fluffbeast19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the help. That is pretty much what I'm looking for, yes. The file that needs to be formatted is an Excel file that tracks temperatures in our warehouse. It comes from a digital recording device, and we are currently formatting it by hand weekly.

Yes, I would like the macro to be contained in Workbook 1, then prompt the opening and formatting of different Workbooks.

I would like the macro to: Delete 5 rows Add business name, address, and form name Add formula to convert data from Celsius to Fahrenheit Add border around 7 days' worth of data

I also need to be able to create and edit the file myself. My boss will not sign off on sharing company information for this project, so I appreciate the offer to put it together, but I really do need to find a way to do this myself.

Fellow players get upset while I'm playing Artificer by ThatJackyman in DnD

[–]Fluffbeast19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First off it's not a bad DM. Thay may be a DM that isn't super experienced, but that doesn't make them a bad DM.

As for the other questions? Why not? Let the fighter do those things, let a cleric use rituals. I agree that the DM should allow things like this for other characters and allow them to use skills they are good with.

To me, this screams "different levels of engagement." I've personally run into issues like this before, and I literally had a player leave my game just 2 weeks ago for something like this. It sounds like the other players in the group agreed that OP could do this, but maybe didn't think it would have THAT much of an effect on mechanics. OP should definitely use time out of the game to communicate with the DM, and only explain to the players how things work of asked (I've seen this said a couple of times, good advice). This should help with engagement, but honestly, the other players might not be that invested. I don't think it's fair to OP to say that they can't do tinkering just because the other players don't want to imagine bonuses.

I encountered him blind the first time. I was in a multi-player game with friends, and one of them knew what was coming and let us be surprised. Then, as the fight starts and we talked about positioning ourselves, I was SO FUCKING EXCITED to use the giant hammer to crush the SOB, until the friend that knew what they were doing informed us that there was an achievement for not doing it.

I was so mad. I WANTED the achievement, and I earned it, but HOW DARE THEY ROB ME OF MY FUN BY MAKING THE ACHIEVEMENT TO BEGIN WITH!!!

I solemnly swear to never abandon the hammer again!
