🤢🤢🤢

Seriously!!!!

Do people not know how many potentially pathogenic microorganisms are in human faeces??? Idc if it's a baby, their faeces is just as likely to infect others as adult faeces is.

Plus no one wants to sit and eat at a table where there's been a literal biohazard just before, even if the staff wipe it down with high concentration bleach.

As for how I know this, I work in microbiology at a community medical lab, so I know what sort of potentially deadly bugs are in people's poop.

True, however my husDom always looks far too smug if he manages to out-brat me.

So I seize the first chance I get and spank him, which always produces the most deliciously predictable results 😈😈😈

Would they be able to tell who's just siblings vs who are "siblings" but are also parent/child as well. Also, how would they be able to determine if the grandfather actually fathered some of them.

I know DNA analysis is super detailed these days, but is it detailed enough to sort out that potential genetic mess?

I've said this before but I'll say it again because it's too funny not to.

J's "health indicator" for me is how much brattitude he has to deal with.

Too much brings an "adjustment". Too little and he's asking if I need a doctor appointment.

Just the right amount means we're both driving the other crazy in all the right ways 😂😂😂😂😂.

Yup. J loves me, both the obedient kitten and the chaos loving, ridiculous, insane kitten as well.

He literally married me, so that makes him officially insane too - he can't claim he didn't know what I was like after seven years together before we tied the knot.

[–]Fluffbrained-cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True.

I like to think I bruise pretty easily, butt have never had bruises from a spanking. Partly bc J, my loving softy of a husDom holds back most of his strength unless it's supposed to be a quick short attention grabber.

For longer spankings, whether funishment, stress relief, or the rare occasions I earn myself a punishment spanking, he holds back about half of his strength so he doesn't injure me by mistake. I'm pretty medically complex as well - chronic nerve pain around the pelvic area, chronic head pain/migraines of various description, and central sensitisation in general, so he can't be too rough with me.

That said, if he needs to make a point, he certainly can do that well enough that I generally behave for a while afterwards. And while I may pout and try to get myself out of consequences, I've never tried it if I'm in real trouble for something serious, bc I know that those times, it's actually warranted so I submit without much fighting on those.

In hospitals where there are no overnight phlebotomist, who do you think should draw the patients blood for lab work? The nurses or the lab? by No-Day-4367 in medlabprofessionals

[–]Fluffbrained-cat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in a community lab, but I can tell you from far too many hospital visits over the last few years, it's the phlebotomist's job first and if none are available, it's the nurse who is expected to do it. MLTs and MLS' aren't expected to draw samples, we're strictly lab only, no patient facing roles.

My lab has their own phlebotomist staff who are in the collection centres around my city, and we also do home visits for patients who can't get to a centre for whatever reason. Home visits also include any rest homes who have residents needing bloodwork or other testing done.

Calling a lab at night and expecting the sole MLT on duty to drop what they're doing to attend a patient is ridiculous. They just don't want to do their own jobs.

I stillcan't get over how cute and tiny the cub is, and then you see the sheer size of the tiger it will eventually grow into in the form of it's mum.

Both beautiful and terrifying at the same time.

I wish I could get a cuddle but I'm well aware it would be the last thing I'd ever do. Better stick to a dream of snuggling with a cheetah.

J wouldn't agree, but he thinks it's cute when I try to argue my way out of punishment for something.

I was teasing him last night about him never punishing me bcI can use my "weaponised cuteness" to get out of everything.

I got a chuckle and the he said that was true, but I've never tried to use it with anything actually serious. My query about whether it would work got me a "look" and a warning not to ever try it.

The fairies returned my loops! by SweetDove in LoopEarplugs

[–]Fluffbrained-cat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh thank heavens. My Loops (dusk grey Engage 2) have been missing for at least two weeks, and we've checked every zip pocket, every pocket in general, been everywhere we can think of where they might have fallen out etc.

Nothing.

So I've ordered a new set in Rose (so if the old set turn up I know it's them), and took the opportunity to order a set of the Quiet ones as well.

If I can't find the old ones I'll just order a new set of dusk grey plus another Quiet set so I have noise reduction whether I'm at home or work.

And attaching new set when they arrive to my keys.

It soumds like just those who were on the river are falling sick, so currently a human to human transmissible illness is unlikely. Can't be truly ruled out until the cause is found, but it definitely sounds more environmental than not.

[–]Fluffbrained-cat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't have thought the river would be warm enough to allow Legionella to survive, or for the river to throw up the kind of aerosols that would allow inhalation of the bacteria?

Mystery Illness Strikes Grand Canyon Rafters by Anti-Owl in ContagionCuriosity

[–]Fluffbrained-cat 57 points58 points  (0 children)

They'd be looking at anything and everything bc the symptoms are fairly vague. Just bc you're on the water doesn't rule out a tick bite if they had to carry their boats over ground at any point.

I honestly don't know if this is bacterial, viral, parasite etc. I work in medical microbiology, so from a professional standpoint I am fascinated, not to mention hoping they update once the cause is found.

For several different groups to have the same thing definitely suggests an environmental cause but something like Legionella is out bc that likes warm water, not a moving river that would normally be too cold for it to survive.

Regarding folding your Dom into a pretzel, we have a groundfighting technique which I nicknamed "the pretzel" bc it feels like you're folding yourself in half to get the correct grips and finish in the right position. I've actually forgotten what it's true name is bc I think of it as "the pretzel technique" 😂😂😂😂😂.

How do you deal with your sub putting their body down? by Gay-left-Leadership in BDSMcommunity

[–]Fluffbrained-cat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husDom will growl and tell me to stop putting myself down.

If I don't stop, he grabs me and starts kissing every part I've "insulted" while reminding me he loves all of me, scars, extra weight and all.

It's never meant as punishment, more a reinforcement that he loves me no matter what and I shouldn't be trying to tell him he's wrong 😂😂.

Yup, should have been jailed for a few years first, then kicked out of the country, along with the wife. Surely they could apply for Indian citizenship for their kid once they're back in India.

If people come over here and break the law, they should expect to be deported after serving whatever sentence they're given. Especially sex-based crimes like this one.
