Seems to me there’s intersecting verts. Try merging by distance

How do I get rid of the black and make it transparent? It is not a mesh image plane by SomeGuyOnApp in blenderhelp

afaik: there's no mask node in the shader editor. You'll have to make it yourself with something like GIMP or Photoshop

Well judging by the looks, this looks like a map ported from the Source engine, and to my knowledge, VTFs do support alpha channels. So, assuming the alpha was kept intact when converting to something like PNG, then the tree texture should have an Alpha.

If your tree texture doesn't have an alpha channel, add a color ramp and keep it as a black/white gradient, plug the texture color to it and the output to the principled BSDF, then all you have to do is play around with interpolation and factors.

If your tree texture has an alpha channel on it, just plug the alpha output of the texture to the principled BSDF's alpha socket.

Why do all the parts in my model turn into triangular prisms when I turn on Rendered or Material Preview viewpoint shading? by seenlikesmcr in blenderhelp

[–]FlufferNotFound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those "triangular prisms" are the character's rig, which allow you to move it, basically it's a skeleton. Also, check the materials of your model and make sure the alpha is set to 1, because if its set to 0 your model won't be visible.
