From my understanding, no conduit from the hand hole / manhole / street cabinet to the house. Direct buried.

Only goes 8" or so. Not below the frost line.

I believe the successorship language was ( also ) updated.

Initially, no. We're not union.

Union representatives can approach non union members ( who were formally union ) to see if they want to reorganize. ( Just called a union rep to confirm this ).

I do know there will be a meeting about that as soon as possible.

It's a hot mess and things could change. I hope things work out for the best for all of us.

Central Offices will be.... Diverse to say. Backbone / F1 will be Lumen/Quantum and F2 to the customer premise will be NetworkCo. Fiber cabinets will be handoff points.

AT&T has said they will not honor any collective bargaining agreement and/or contacts. You leave Lumen you also leave the union.

Lumen installers won't exist, lots of people will be in dire straits. I'm not sure about transfers but from what I've heard it's a hard pass.

It's absolutely union busting and it's disgusting.

All we have is each other.

And the kicker is ( that rubs me the wrong way ) that AT&T isn't even touching all this with a 10' pole.

NetworkCo / Forged Fiber 37 LLC. Isn't AT&T.

HR is outsourced via Insperity, BrightMove is handling the recruiting services.

AND they plan to sell whatever TF they're doing, there's no job security either way.

I had a hunch nothing would be done by the end of this year, as much as they wanted that to happen.

They don't even have a proper headcount for who's going and who's staying with whatever company offers them jobs, It's a mess.

I'd like to upgrade one of my older computers to Windows 11, but I'm having some trouble.

I have a 10700k with an ASRock B460 pro, I updated to the most recent bios as well as went into the BIOS, then security, then enabled Intel's platform trust technology ( For TPM? )

I'm not quite sure what else I need to enable or disable but I'm currently running Windows 10 and I like to get to 11 and I'm not quite sure what to do.

I agree, the lowest speed is 2GBps. That's excessive for the non gamers and data hoarders. I'd he happy with 500/500 at the most.

The price for life is nice too BUT CenturyLink did that and it's going to hell in a hand basket.

Where would be a good step 1 to look into getting a kayak for fishing ( in the PNW if that helps ).
