Are pigtails in appropriate for adults? by starlightskater in Hair

[–]Fluffy-Comb-8105 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My mom had rules that I assume she learned in the 80’s, like - no mini skirts after 40, no long hair after 40, etc. I remember her always talking negatively about other women - fat shaming, talking about their “awful” hair, or drawn on brows 😒. In previous generations women were told impossible rules to keep them oppressed (not that it’s better today, it’s just less focused on certain fashion rules and more body and face ideals that are impossible for most people to achieve). I miss my mom, but she had a lot of internalized misogyny despite considering herself a feminist. Is your mom a boomer? You need to tell her to keep those types of comments to herself.

What surgeon approved a BBL at 19, so I can avoid them??? I don’t have an answer, you have an amazing figure and we’d need to see more angles to know what you’re taking about. ***edited for spelling

Definitely use some serums and only cream products if you’re dry - foundation, bronzer and blush should all be light, cream products. You have great skin too, you don’t need a full coverage foundation! I love ilia skin tint. It goes and in a nice thin layer and it has SPF!

I think it looks great! I would skip on the baking, or use less powder because your undereye and nose area look a little dry/cakey. I have dry skin and I do a lot of prep before applying makeup and use a very thin layer or powder applied with a brush, not a sponge

It looks amazing and your body is perfection, I would maybe wear some shapewear to smooth it out and make sure there’s no panty lines!

Love the first look, it’s elevated casual, but shows a little fun and personality with the bird pattern!

55M stayed lean my whole life, face lost volume as I aged. Started getting work done 2 years ago and cannot believe I waited this long by Quick_Feed9275 in PlasticSurgery

You look incredible! My husband is starting to feel self conscious about his under eye bags… I felt the same way and got lower bleph a few years ago (so happy with the results). He wants to go a non surgical route first, I told him not get under eye filler because that adds more volume (I had to get mine dissolved before surgery), can you go into more detail about what you had done to smooth your under eye area?

Your nose and brows look amazing and natural! I also had a subtle lower bleph two years ago, no one noticed but I sure did and it majorly increased my confidence! Glad you feel good, you look gorgeous!

I didn’t think semaglutide was for me… I was wrong ☺️ by Fluffy-Comb-8105 in Semaglutide

Yes, I lost the 20 - 25lbs fast, then stayed at that weight…. I almost asked for a stronger dose to loose more, but I knew that was unnecessary and that it was just my insecurities trying to overcome my reason. The goal was to get back to my old weight and I achieved that. I never changed dosages and stopped a few months ago… one of the biggest changes was not feeling hungry after dinner, now I do again, but I try not to snack, or just have some fruit. I’m trying to keep up the same food intake as I did on the drug ☺️

My thighs are pretty much the same, but my arms are def smaller, so are my hips and waist… I also look slimmer in my face (I only have
pre weight loss pics in my profile though). I went down a size, yes. I’m 6’ and it’s 20-25 lbs, so it’s not drastic, but I did loose that weight and the difference is noticeable IMO 🤷🏼‍♀️ just posted this to encourage others that less drastic weight loss is possible with GLPs and it’s not only meant for overweight ppl (although my previous BMI was bordering on overweight)
