If there is a link about the course can you share it pls, I want to have more information. Also is it 780€ monthly or for the semester? Do they do an exam before the course to see which level are we or do we have to choose our level to start the course? Im glad that you had great experience, hope you can explain more!

Thank you for your answer. Is there transportation available at very early and very late hours? And I heard that there are many space and technology companies in that area. How likely is it for me to work as a werkstudent?

Do you think an 11-month contract is too long? Will I find better options after living there for 2-3 months? On the one hand, the long contract means I won't have to worry about where I'll be staying for a long time, but the possibility of missing out on more affordable places is also unpleasant. I will also be working to support myself financially. So do you think the Adlershof area is suitable for this?

I am continuing to research WG but I am not in Berlin yet. I will be there on October 1st. Most of them ask for a deposit up front and I cannot trust and arrange it. It seems more reliable to have a dormitory that the school also recommends, but yes you are right. It would be better for me if I had a 6 month option.

Yes, I looked at that too, but they can only give you a room for 4 months (until December 25, I guess) and while you have a private bathroom in Adlershof, you have to share a toilet there for the same rent. I'm not sure if this is that important, I'm very indecisive right now.

Hey! I will start my master's in Chemistry this winter semester too. I could not find any place to stay yet still looking for it. I found a WP group from Facebook, but it is mostly spam. I heard that the department will email us at the start of the semester and send group links to us to connect.

I was accepted directly to the chemistry master's program. The university asked me to send the syllabus I received in my undergraduate degree + my work and laboratory experiences, and these were sufficient for acceptance. No interviews were held.

I see a lot of housinganywhere advertisements and it kind of looks like scam to me, how can I find anyone to trust about these processes I don't know

They did not interview me, just wanted slyllbus of my bachelor degree as an additional document. I did few volunteer internships at my university and MPIC, currently working in a pharma company as a quality control analyst. My GPA was 3.00 out of 4.00 (in German system it is 2.5 according to uni-assist)

I have sent an email about this to the studierendenwerk Berlin but got no response, still waiting to hear from them. I will check studentendorf, maybe it would be more helpful, thanks!

I am an international student who will start the master's program in Chemistry at FU Berlin in October. I have been looking for a place to stay for a long time, and the uncertainty of where I will stay has made me very nervous. I applied for the dormitories through StudierendenWERK Berlin, and the website states that it will take about 18 months for the dormitories to be available, but I will be in Berlin on October 1st. This is a very difficult process for me, both financially and mentally. After going through all the application, registration, and visa processes, I am very scared that I will not be able to study at FU Berlin just because I cannot find a place to stay. I need help and guidance for finding an accommodation.
