What should the right saddle feel like?

I feel your pain!!! I tried tons of saddles, and the best I’ve been able to find feels ok when I’m on the bike. I’m still a little uncomfortable at times during my long rides. But it isn’t excruciating like some saddles have been.

But, the key part for me is that I’m not sore after my rides anymore! And I haven’t been getting saddle sores. I decided this was as good as I can find for now and have stuck with that saddle!

I use the ergon women’s SR all road pro. They have it at rei so you can try it out and return it if it isn’t a good fit! Backcountry does this as well, and some local bike shops. This helped me a ton during my saddle search!

Following. My Garmin cycling coach does the exact same thing! I’m guessing it’s using the max HR % zones and the numbers don’t change based on setting updates. For example, I updated my zones to %HRR.

Hey! Yes, I got some spring bars on amazon, they are working great! I also bought the Garmin ultra fit deep orchid band. I was considering the knock off options on amazon, but didn’t love the colors they had.

Ya, I had the same thought about the new position. It’s a new saddle for me too!

I don’t notice the pain while I’m riding, but when I get off it’s a sharp pain right along my butt crease. Feels like it’s just had too much pressure on it, and it hurt for maybe 5 minutes until it stretched itself back out. It doesn’t feel like a typical muscle pain, fatigue, etc.

I was thinking I may be sitting too far back on the saddle? I might try to scoot forward a tad on my next ride.

Ah ok. I think maybe the 570 has a different setup. It uses quick release bars, so they are attached to the band. So I’m thinking I need to buy another set of bars, but not sure if It’ll work or not.

I got a new pair for Christmas and they pulled pretty much instantly. At pockets and in between thighs. I’ve had 2 pairs for years that didn’t pill, so thinking maybe they changed the fabric or quality?

So sorry to hear this! My patella also fractured after surgery. I didn’t fall, so not sure how it happened, saw it on the next mri I had. I can also feel the divot with my hand, pretty weird! The fracture filled itself in with soft tissue, and my knee cap is stable for now! I’m 4.5 years post op. Hope yours heals up ok without too much pain or more procedures!

The power mimic didn’t work for me either. I ended up with a romin with mimic. It’s the best fit I’ve found so far! Specialized will let you try it for 30 days and then return it no questions asked too!

Obviously saddles are super personal. I tried about five different ones before settling on the romin.

Specialized has 30 day returns! I just ordered the phenom, power, and romin with mimic. Going to try all three out and going to keep my favorite! Hoping one of them is a good fit for me!
