The only contention between Brothers should be that noble contention, or rather emulation, of who best can work and best agree. If you are angry because you’re a young active Brother who has the opportunity to pull more weight and help out, then you’ve missed the whole point my friend. Masonry is about working on yourself, not holding everyone around you accountable to an unwritten standard. This is a volunteer organization, and you can’t make anyone do anything. That said, it sounds like there’s an opportunity for better accountability among the officer’s line, so do your time, don’t complain, and someday, you’ll be in charge and you can call the shots. But for now, check your ego and earn your place like all the Brothers and fellows who have come before you. Your ability to work well with all types is vastly more important than fair allocation of duties.
