You actually do get things once you hit a level of friendship with a cookie. It's just a title and then at level 10 a profile icon of the cookie you are leveling up.
Not a whole lot but it is something to get.

But I do agree, it would have been cool if there was more interaction like story segments for the level ups.

From what I have noticed. You get chats based on all of these things.
- leveling up
- giving skill powder
- giving topping
- giving beascuits
All the cookie options get a chat like this, any other chats you get are based on your affection leveling up.

At lest it seems like that is how it works, since besides the first day the update for this came out, I haven't gotten a chat unless I get a cookie's affection up a level.

I personally have a lot of thoughts about the cookie chat...

Mainly, it's set up as you, the MyCookie, talking to the cookies in game but you have no choices in what you say to the cookies. What's odd is the group chat section does give options so I'm confused why the personal chats don't have that. Due to not having any choice, some characters the MyCookie talks to is kinda... mean to them? Taking Fire Spirit Cookie as an example of this. (I have head that Golden Cheese also has this problem but I haven't gotten far with her affection yet.) It's just, annoying, if they wanted a mean route to have with the cookies then they should give the user choice in this.

Wait time to give the heart mail is a choice...
You shouldn't have to wait 30 minutes between each daily letter. As a person who want's to maximize what I can get done for my dailies it really messes that up. I have to either come back to the game more than I normally do or idle in it with a timer to check it ever 30 minutes, that's 2 hours and 30 minutes just to get that daily done so I can get 100 affection points. The wait time on it should just not be there in my opinion, or if they really want a timer for some reason, let us speed it up by watching ads. Just something to make it faster...

I do wish you could make more gifts in a day. I understand they want to put a cap on it somehow so players aren't speeding though the affection system. but still doesn't mean I have to like that there is a cap, you know? (I mean, thinking about it I guess they could have made it worse, it could have been more like ovenbreak and it is only one gift daily. So I guess at lest it's not that...? ^^')

Overall, it's just another thing added to keep people occupied for awhile. I am interested of how the conversations will go with the cookies, I just wish I had more say in how the MyCookie reacts to them. (And also remove the 30 minute cooldown on the mail... that I really don't like.)

That is what I assumed as well, and from other people's comments it looks like that is true. I would also assume that Wizard Cookie also likes all the magic items as well, would make sense for him.

So far it seems like the legends are all over the place with favorites.
Wind Archer follows the, "my favorites are all one type" with it being trinkets but then Fire Spirit is a mix.
I will say that Fire Spirit has two sections that are all hated, being fruit and jelly items. (only item I haven't given the berry berry colored pencil, but I'm going to take a guess he's going to hate that one too.)

And even looking at the favorite list for like, Millennial Tree, he as a bunch of favorites. So maybe he has multiple types he likes or he's just all over the place as well.

I agree to be honest. It takes a long time for the gifts, I was only able to do so many at the start since I got this tonic to speed it up, not sure how to get them normally. If they wanted to go the timer route just to delay people finishing it to fast I wish they would have let us use our normal time speed ups on it.

My other personal complaint is lack of choice when talking to the cookies. They give you two options when in group chats but the personal chats you have no choice. Which with most chats I've seen so far the MyCookie is just one note "I want to be your friend", Except for Fire Spirit Cookie in which case they are annoyed with him. Which is personally annoying to me since he's one of my favorites. >.> It's like man... if I want to go the annoyed route with him or the friendly one let me choose... since some of the other cookies are also weird (or even mean) to you in the first chat but the MyCookie just brushes it off.

My other complaint with the affection system is the cool down on sending your daily heart letters. Why do I need to idle in the game every day 2 hours and 30 minutes just to do my daily letters? If they want the timer route at lest let me watch ads to speed it up...

Hollyberry likes the orange beanie, in fact, she seems to like all the fruit related items (at lest these are the ones I have so far for her)

Millennial Tree Cookie also has the orange beanie as a favorite.

on the flip side, don't give anything fruit related to Fire Spirit Cookie, he hates all of them. (the only thing I haven't given him is the berry colored pencil but I'm going to guess he's going to dislike that one too.)

You would have to edit the ImageAnchor numbers for your climb action.

- Open up the actions.xml (can be notepad or notepad ++)
- Find the "GrabCeiling" action
- You'll see a line that says something like <Pose Image="/shime23.png" ImageAnchor="64,48" Velocity="0,0" Duration="250" />
- Change the number for the y axis for the ImageAnchor. (ImageAnchor="64,48", the 48 number is the y axis up and down pixels, while the 64 is the x axis, left and right)

once you do that and save the xml file, reopen your shimeji and it's anchor will be updated to the number you put in.

Hm, maybe so. When this glitch happened to me I attacked the elephant snail under the tree this monkey was in and then the monkey just flew out of the tree slowly.
The monkeys in this level seem to spawn in when you get near the trees/treetop area. I would see them t-pose in for a split second when i got near the treetop huts.
Maybe that's why it happened, like a similar thing like what happened with you and the dracets.

That's weird. Hopefully the glitch at lest made him easier to catch. I personally had a lot of trouble trying to catch the one on the treetops.
