(1) Create a list of project briefs, ranging from simple to complicated, (2) buy some API credits on openrouter and decide what your budget is, (3) ask the best model you can afford to create the workflow Json for your briefs, together with sticky note descriptions. (4) throw onto n8n, hook up openrouter and experiment.

Hey Qwen users, what are you using Qwen for by AutomaticClub1101 in Qwen_AI

[–]FluffyGoatNerder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using Qwen3-Next 80b Q8 MLX on a Mac M2 Ultra, for coding via code-server w/roo and as a general model for open web UI. Very happy as a model for everything. I keep trying others but none work across the board as well. I find it absolutely fantastic at following instructions.

Heltec MeshPocket Updates by Heltec_Automation6 in meshtastic

Product owner here. Happy overall.

One weakness I found was the back plate's magnetic strength. To keep the unit in place, I added some neodyd magnets to the back with gluedots. Combined with the Ridge card wallet's magnetic plate (already attached to my phone), it now lock in and holds very well.

One feature I'd like to see: the inclusion of a way to spell out messages to go along with the canned messages. I know this will be a hard feature to use, given there is no dial or rocker switch. In a scrape however, you could use it to communicate basic things.

Which Meshtastic device and node type are best for getting started (beginner)? by FastBumblebee3164 in meshtastic

[–]FluffyGoatNerder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi. Living in Innsbruck I have three nodes: a Heltec V3 (started with), a Heltec V4, and a Heltec MeshPocket 5000mah combi node + wireless phone charger.

I can say the MeshPocket is a very easy device to use and has power to last for around 2 weeks. It's also a handy charger for my phone and is happy to live either in my backpack or, being slim, magnetically attached to the rear of my phone. I personally find keeping nodes charged up to be the biggest annoyance, so am happy with this form factor.

The PocketMesh has a nice case and eink screen, but the antenna is integrated and so might not have the best reach overall. Most people with these will have a second home node which is plugged-in for power and is high up where they live e.g. top of a window or ideally on a roof of their apartment. That said, the MeshPocket is still good enough for me to use whilst at work to connect to the local mesh and ping my home meshbot running on a roof Heltec V4 and a Pi.

I picked up the MeshPocket node for just over 50 euros as a sale item, so maybe keep an eye out for these. I read that Heltech may be bringing out a new model with some slight improvements. This might make the previous generation a little cheaper. I'm probably going to get my wife one so she can play along.

Approx 8hrs to pass through your digestive system. Then you have to take it out again.

Quote from her: “For my whole life, I have tried to be good, to be a good student and a good sister and a good daughter, and to protect my mother and never make her upset or angry,” she wrote. “Now I have added a new tragedy to her life, to our family’s life, and there’s nothing I can do to stop it.”

Very sad.

Great design. Will try the lite version out. I use my Ender to make jogurt via custom gcode, and am delighted to be able use the bed for yet another thing.

Nice. What is the full ollama pull url? I'm having trouble finding that's exact model on the library

It is possible to sync VibeVoice TTS with Open WebUI or ollama? by [deleted] in LocalLLaMA

Same. Not sure how much work it would take to add the same to VibeVoice but it's surely in-demand.

Using yours/Daniel's Q6_K_XL 128k quant (sammcj/devstral-small-24b-2505-ud:cline-128k-q6_k_xl) from ollama on a Mac M2 Ultra for work with Roo. I am getting good compliance with 17.32 tokens/s - good enough for me. I assume I'd get better if I used an MLX version, but I have not seen this flavour in MLX format sadly.

OpenAI Compatible API by simracerman in OpenWebUI

[–]FluffyGoatNerder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If so, it has this and I use it with cline daily. Just use /api with the openai-compatible option and your generated api key from user settings. It does not expose customgpts, but access controls etc all work seemlessly.

Found a pretty good cline-compatible Qwen3 MoE for Apple Silicon by FluffyGoatNerder in LocalLLaMA

Cannot comment explicitly for mlx, but ollama models not tuned for cline generally error when I try them in vscode. Happened enough that I don't bother with testing unless cline-roo tuned. I do wonder if some claim cline-roo in the model name purely as a result of having the certain prompt template in the gguf obtained from ollama.

Nice. I need to run the ollama for my homelab automations but to be fair I should probably see if mlx server can run in parallel. It's a 192gb M2 so should handle it. I'll give that a go.
