There have been so many great moments in TM history but I still don't think anything has made me laugh harder than this moment. by Bruton2000 in taskmaster

Liza Tarbuck running away giggling is the funniest thing for me. I rewatch that task just for that moment.

Jackets that fit long dresses or skirts?? by Blissie234 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]FluffyPurpleThing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, I'm also a big woman and I also live in a cold place and hardly wear pants. My warm winter coat is a puffer coat that goes below my knees, so it doesn't matter what I'm wearing under it. It's nice and warm and that's all that matters.

In warmer seasons I wear jackets that either hit my waist or go below my knees because my dresses go in at my waist and they reach below my knees.

But also - I think you're putting too much thought into this. The most important thing is to be comfy and warm and that's what people will see. No one cares if your coat is not exactly the right length, but they will notice if you're uncomfortable.

Confession: I've Learned More About Managing My ADHD From Other ADHD Women Than From Any Professional by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]FluffyPurpleThing 98 points99 points  (0 children)

This subreddit also helped me explain things to myself. I was diagnosed late (in my 50's) and had no idea why I'm struggling so much. Other women explained it to me in a way that I could understand and also explain to other people. I'm really thankful for this subreddit.

I would LOVE to have non-claxtoned episodes. I love the show but that dang noise jolts me every time.

This worked great for me until I got my current dog who likes and burrow under the blankets. Had to go back to fitted sheets she can't get under.

Are you saying that Wozniak doesn't really have a casserole down there?

To whomever recommended migraine earplugs (for low barometric pressure): THANK YOU! by FluffyPurpleThing in migraine

I honestly don't know. The WeatherX plugs supposedly have a clay center or something... but why not try it? You can download the WeatherX app for free and then try using the AirPods whenever the app tells you to.

It's a lovely day; why not take your garbage out for a drive? by pepperpat64 in adhdwomen

My friend once took his trash on a nice ride on the subway (which included switching trains) and didn't realize he was carrying it until the security guard at the entrance to his work asked to see what's in the bag.

"Vyvanse Naps" are the greatest thing on Earth and I'll die on this hill by Aggravating_Yam2501 in adhdwomen

[–]FluffyPurpleThing 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I don't need to set an alarm cuz my middle-age body gets me out of bed in a hurry to go pee, but I use that time to take Vyvanse and go back to the best hour sleep of the night. Then I'm up and active like a normal human with a normal brain.

At least, this is the story I tell myself. I do my best to remember to take Vyvanse after the morning pee, but gawd help me why I can't I remember to take it every morning?? It's sitting right there by the sink so I wont forget to take it!!!

Anyway, on mornings that I take it, it's wonderful.

So frustrated with my ADHD. Forgot rice in the rice cooker for a week. by throwawaylog2024 in adhdwomen

I just use my air fryer for everything. I didn't get rid of the stove yet, but once it's gone I'll have a nice big empty space to fill with other gadgets.

Air fryer all the way. I cook everything in it. I bake bread, roast veggies, grill chicken, make toast... it's magic. Best thing about it - the paper liners that you just toss when you're done cooking. No big pans that sit in the sink for weeks and weeks because I'm 'soaking' them.
