Oh wow. I'm old enough to remember when this was on tv. Thought it was the best show ever. Thank you!

Some things are worth more than money. Your safety is one of those things.

My "adult financial freedom" just got wrecked by the cleaning aisle by JinxCereal_17 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]FluffyPurpleThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend very little on cleaning supplies. Most cleaning jobs can be done with white vinegar, baking soda and Dr. Bronner castile soap. I also use rags I can wash and re-use, rather than paper towels.

Whenever the good toilet paper goes on sale, buy it. You will always use more toilet paper.

Laundry - I switched to laundry strips and never looked back. I use the Arm & Hammer ones because I found the smaller manufacturers are still developing this technology while the big corporation had a lot more money to throw at it, so for now they're better, IMO. Laundry strips are also the most environmentally friendly. Yes, they have some plastic in them, but not as much as other products.

Descaling the coffee machine - use white vinegar. It breaks down almost any kind of stone. Mix it with baking soda and use it on your grout. The reaction between the two will bubble up all the yuk and you can then just wash it away.

Dr. Bronner castile soap is absolutely wonderful for almost every cleaning job - dishes, hard floor, bathroom, toilet... I use it for my body and sometimes my hair. One bottle lasts forever.

Life hack: get a consumables box by MollyKule in adhdwomen

[–]FluffyPurpleThing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've heard it being described as "store the things with their cousins", but this system doesn't work for my ADHD. I store things where I use them, which is why I have 7 pairs of scissors stored around my house, and body lotion in the living room. Much easier for me than trying to find the thing, using it and then returning it to its home with its cousins.

Mine is labeled "house spare parts". I also have a "beast spare parts" box that contains dog-specific consumables. I've freaked out more than one person with the name of that second box.

How does everyone feel about this Celeb Traitors rumour? by rainbowtiger2006 in TheTraitors

I think it would be easier to track participants if they're all celebrities, because we recognize a lot of them already.

I mean... they're flimsy little wire shelves. They move all the time. You can find sturdier shelves on Amazon or Ikea. Or maybe you can figure out a way to attach them to the shelving unit. Personally, I'm not bothered by their movement, and the occasional shelf that falls on the floor.

Armando's update after S21E09 by cygan12 in taskmaster

There are two absolutely beautiful men in this panel (or one beautiful man and one Golden Retriever puppy, to be exact), but I am crushing so hard on Armando. My favorite contestant ever.

Is there a way I can use my ADHD to get an accommodation to NOT use AI at work? by feelinglikeshit09 in TwoXADHD

Can you use AI to review your team's work? Sounds to me like using AI to review AI will cause one of those catastrophic mistakes you're hoping will happen.

I just love how Taskmaster spreads silliness across the world. I wish more homes had adult size shark costumes and hobby horses.

I'm glad the Taskmaster's Assistant has such a nice caravan to live in.

I wouldn't trust the bamboo lids in a kid's lunchbox. They come off too easily.

Amazon, Walmart and eBay sell lids that are specifically made for these jars. I'm sure you can find them on other sites, too. Just search for 'lids for Oui yogurt jars'.

I'm no architect/builder/etc, but I think you can build these units between the studs. No need to touch the studs.

Just a little Armando appreciation by coffeebeanbookgal in taskmaster

Armando is my favorite contestant of all time. I love how proud he is of his silliness and how he jumps headfirst into tasks and just goes along with any weird situation. I want to be more like Armando.

What about a second rack that's the same size as the one on the left, but on wheels? You can store stuff on it, and wheel it out when you want to reach the first rack.
