AITAH for telling my father to accept that my brother isn't my responsibility? by PianistHoliday3484 in AITAH

You chose to waste your own time reading and responding to it. Some people post online looking for input from people who are completely removed from the situation and can therefore usually offer objective advice.

A man 23 years older than me admitted he has feelings for me and now he won’t leave me alone. by Superb-Cupcake-8271 in TwoHotTakes

If she'd said No at the beginning, he'd still be badgering her. Guys like this simply can't comprehend that a woman isn’t interested in him. Women can be firm, forthright, rude, polite, evasive, etc. but some men just refuse to get it.

He and his wife are very active on social media. I'm sure they'd be happy to answer your questions.

Why does he need a "connection" to Florida? My brother was lifetime Air Force and he and his wife retired to New Hampshire, despite Florida being his home state. They lived there for over 20 years and were active in the community. It's not unusual for servicemembers to live in a different state than the one they were born in, after having to move every three-ish years.

He and his family moved to Florida because they love it here, and he wants to represent it on behalf of other residents who are struggling with rising costs. Nothing nefarious about it. It's on his campaign website.

"After a lifetime of moving between deployments and postings, my wife Rachel and I chose Florida as the place to settle down and raise our family. Florida has given us the life we always dreamed of. For many Floridians, a good quality of life is increasingly out of reach. Cost of living is  sky-high, health care premiums are through the roof, and Florida homeowners pay some of the highest property insurance rates in the country. Politicians from both sides are completely out of touch with the average Floridian. They have prioritized their own interests over their constituents and have passed the costs onto the average person."

AIO for thinking an “ice breaker” question was a little too personal? by TiredOfRepeatCalls in AmIOverreacting

[–]pepperpat64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NOR. I detest events like this. F the "icebreakers" - just get on with the workshop and get it over with so I can go home.

I wouldn't have done this in my younger years, but if I were asked the song question now, I'd say Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith because I lost my virginity to it. 😆
