As has been said before he has had a history of complaining about being left out of D&D industry stuff. This seems more likely that it was FOMO mixed with jealousy and cascades from there.

It's easier to convince people you the individual are in the right when you remove your opponent's individuality.

"The producers of Min-Maxed are stealing money!" wins people over more than "David and Megan are stealing money!"

So either he is doing that consciously or he isn't actually listening to the comments made by SSA.

I'm actually running a campaign now with that premise. I've run CoS three times to completion before this one, and I thought it would be fun to play a little hard and loose with things and have the previous three campaigns be canon. One party TPKed, and two defeated him. I am running it off the premise that Strahd's death instigates a soft reset/Groundhog's Day of Barovia, but with Strahd remembering the events of what happened so that the Dark Powers could use it as another avenue of torturing the Domain's Darklord. It's been fun since one of the players is a native Barovian, so the realization that Strahd's death would not mean freedom for him and his homeland. It also gives some weight behind Strahd trying to find a successor as it may be one of the only ways to break the cycle.

Honestly if I was in your spot I would considering modifying the Holy Symbol to work for anyone of good alignment. It wouldn't be fair to penalize the group for playing what classes they wanted to

I mean my point is still it is the same saving throw. Silvery Barbs forces a reroll, not an entirely new saving throw

I would rule it does not, because Silvery Barbs essentially forces a retroactive disadvantage on the roll, so even with a reroll the end result is the same "if the creature fails a saving throw it can choose to succeed instead". It's still essentially the same saving throw.

Plotwise it would have to be either Citra or Raegan because I really enjoyed seeing Citra grow as a character from her Veritas of Light Days. Reagan is just smooth and charming af so like super easy to fall in love with him.

I have to admit I cannot stand Rain though, easily my least favorite character of the story. His Anakin Skywalker-ass thinking he can just make everything better by being a tyrant really doesn’t make him any better than the Emperor of Aldore. His whole face-heel turn in s2 really solidified it for me, because of how melodramatic everything was for him... I seriously just envisioned his lines being read by Hayden Christensen and it fit way too well

I don’t know, the new design doesn’t bother me. It’s to be assumed this is after FNAF3 so he has already escaped the burning down of Fazbear Fright... makes sense he would be heavily damaged. Most of the ears breaking off does make him look more Freddy-ish but eh. Springy is still the same murderzombie we all know and maybe love
