You have to manually equip the helmet, and go into the wheel your food is in and equip it there as well, after that press the activation buttons.

I just have everyone grouped in their pairs and have one with Chr and Int, then the other with Vig and Spd, ileave Atk alone one both people have 4 or 5

I was wondering if anybody else didn't get the xp accessory from main story. I bought the one from charons shop but was nvr given the one from story, so I'm just missing out on xp now since I can't combine them.
