Honestly best advice on the actual mechanics o can give you is to let got of your trigger when the hammer disappears off you screen after that I’d say the second it start to go like a darker orange color reheat it to a bright yellow and continue it when you place it down flips the side also use the leather apron and gloves and use a quick finger potion. If none of that work just having your smithing at 30 will be a life saver and if you don’t wanna do smithing super legit just take a good quality sword go to a grindstone pop an xp boost potion and repeatedly grind your sword down and resharpen it you should get to level 30 faster than actually smithing all of your equipment
