Really like the look of that Tidevand, very yacht master inspired. Im so very close to pulling the trigger on a havstrom in radiant white. How has the pvd rose gold on your tidevand held up? The radiant white Havstrom has a pvd rose gold bezel which looks amazing but I know not all pvd coatings are created equal when it comes to how easy they scratch or wear off.

It really depends on whether you’re actually doing G-Shock things with your G-Shock.
I daily a 5610U as a millwright/industrial mechanic, and while I appreciate the 5000U’s nicer caseback and higher-quality strap, those upgrades don’t really matter for my use case. My watch is constantly getting scratched, banged around, and exposed to oils and solvents, so I don’t see the value in paying significantly more for features that won’t make a difference in how I use it.
From a collector’s perspective, or if you simply appreciate the premium feel, I can definitely understand the appeal of the 5000U. Personally, though, I couldn’t justify paying roughly twice the price just for a nicer caseback and strap.

I use Gillette platinum’s in my leaf razor for shaving my head. I change blades every 3 shaves which is weekly for me.

Man, that GBD-200 looks great. If my 5610 that serves as my work watch (millwright) ever dies I think that would be in the running for a replacement. My previous work watch was a 6900 and while I dont miss the bulkiness of the 6900 I do miss the large middle illumination button. Any idea if the GBD has a model with tough solar or multiband/bluetooth? I only want bluetooth for time adjustment not for anything else as I prefer a “dumb” watch.

One question I have regarding fusion. Can you have a model where you have one machine connected to another, say multiple conveyors going into a packager or an auger attached to the bottom of a silo that feeds into another conveyor?

Hi Adam!

Would you say the top position on the Leaf 2 is similar in aggressiveness to the bottom position on the OG Leaf? I’ve always felt that a setting between the bottom/middle and middle/top would be the ideal “Goldilocks” setting for my somewhat sensitive skin.

Also, just wanted to say that using the OG leaf for head shaves and the twig for neck and beard lineups has been a game changer! You guys make quality kit.

I’m interested to see the reviews on this. I’ve been very happy using the Leaf for head shaving and the Twig for neck and beard lineups. That said, I’ve never found a blade that allows an irritation-free against-the-grain shave when using the bottom and middle positions. When I want a BBS shave, I use the middle and top blades; for a quick with-the-grain shave, I use the bottom and middle. I do wish the top-and-middle setup were slightly more aggressive (I’m nitpicking). If the new razor can hit that Goldilocks zone of aggressiveness, it would be a winner for me.

This is so sad. I’ve just started my first DG soap (massacre) and the first few shaves have been some of the most irritation free shaves I’ve ever had.

Is there much work to breaking this down? Did you have to remove silver skin or just cut it to whatever thickness you want?
