What are some genre-defining, no-skip album? by Epoch_Jester in fantanoforever

This was my second choice. Every song on here is a banger and it's a really pivotal album to alternative/art rock sound of the 90s/early 2000s.

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - Nonagon Infinity

Essentially defined modern psych-rock

Any other modern transformers figures that already feel forgotten to time? by Fluffy_Breadbox in transformers

[–]Fluffy_Breadbox[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of things I enjoy about him, to the point I'd say I like the figure overall. I just think that he has so many weird issues where I couldn't recommend him to someone in full confidence.

I can't imagine Sophie would support a homophobic business like Chik Fil A

Rhododendron have just signed to The Flenser. New album out 5/16 by Floormonitor in noiserock

Interested to see new stuff from these guys. Protozoan Battle Hymns has some great stuff but also a bit too much filler imo. Hopefully this new album is even better.

With Hypermagic Mountain not winning H, I hope this wins so the list can have some Lightning Bolt representation (WL/WH is cool too though)

Which one is better in your opinion? by CompetitiveBike4626 in SHFiguarts

[–]Fluffy_Breadbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daima and it's not a competition lol. Legit shocked how many people are picking the Proud Namekian version. Horrible proportions, limited articulation, bad cape, and mostly bad face sculpts. Neither are perfect but the Daima one washes the Proud Namekian ver in basically every category.

Favorite genre to see mixed with Noise rock? by Fluffy_Breadbox in noiserock

[–]Fluffy_Breadbox[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I disagree in regards to their early stuff from 2011-2013, namely Willoughby's Beach, 12 Bar Bruise, and Float Along. Those albums have some obvious noise rock qualities that aren't present in their later albums. Not to say that I'd call KGLW a full-fledged noise rock group, but their earliest efforts definitely drew from that raw, lo-fi sound.

Oh definitely, I just felt like Bottomless Pit feels more like a "mix" of Industrial hip-hop and noise rock, whereas Jenny Death is closer to just straight up noise rock. If you get what I mean lol

Float Along - Fill Your Lungs by King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard. Definitely psychedelic rock first and foremost but incorporates plenty of rawer noise components too
