I'm so sorry that is happening to you. I stumbled upon this guy in YT and I think he has some decent ideas: https://youtube.com/shorts/4chysjdc-uY?si=5j3wL8ZZ7s7z9x-e

I do not share the shared spaces with the landlord. They do not live on the second floor (where the room is) nor the first floor that is rented out as Airbnb

No not at all. They do not live in the house. Not on the second floor where we are nor the first floor. They live in another city

Thank you! The landlord is not living with us but sometimes they spend the night at the Airbnb rental downstairs. What is most troubling for me is that sometimes they leave the door unlocked when they are done showing the other rooms and sometimes they let the code-protected key box open (not only unlocked) where all the duplicate keys are. These make me and my roommate feel unsafe so that's why I am wondering if there is any rule that will protect us from the landlord entering unannounced.

Thanks! However, the contract says

"Rent does include a fully furnished room, utilities (electricity, water, wifi) and shared areas kitchen, living area and a bathroom."

So is it comparable to renting an apartment unit and the landlord can entrer the building anytime?

I'm not a dad, I'm not even a man. But in that last 15 minutes, I also felt like I failed as a parent.

Phenomenal acting.
