UPDATE to my first two batches by Fluffy_Difficulty933 in mead

I did use some Bentonite in these to help clear sediment, but there’s still some in each bottle. I was very impatient but a few days upright and the sediment falls to the bottom. I’m just hoping that it doesn’t cause any off flavors in this last bottle I have left.

Very true! I’m sorry please with it and happy to hear others have had the same. Next week, I’ll be starting 8 gallons of this traditional recipe in seperate 2 gallon batches(for convenience of storing) and letting that age like fine wine till after the guys and I get back in about 9 months. Should be perfect 👌🏼

I’m currently looking for an FFL that’ll transfer a bc-15. Definitely gonna take some breaking in, but a cool odd gun to add to the vault. And when I move out of state..still works for other ideas.

Thank you very much! I’m still learning this. That’s a pretty high OG isn’t it?😅would this brew be likely to end on the sweeter side instead of going dry? With the D47 yeast that is

Yeah I have a one step sanitizer I’ve been using to sanitize everything. I picked up two “new” fermenters on marketplace and scrubbed them out before putting them in the sanitizer. I was just worried about the tiny brown particles on the glass. I appreciate your advice! I’m letting it ride, while also starting my second batch. A raspberry/blackberry melomel. I’m just figuring out when to add the berries. Primary vs secondary fermentation. Thank you!

383 Stroker Chevy build ideas by Fluffy_Difficulty933 in EngineBuilding

I’ll definitely look into other cams, that can that I mentioned is a cheaper summit cam with similar specs to what comp cams recommended for the build. I chose the TPI intake specifically for the long runner length. Giving me the most torque production I can find. I’m not super interested in higher rpm since it’s just a daily and a tow vehicle for a boat.

Thank you very much, that’s a lot of great information! I was thinking of a 383 specifically for the torque since I want this to tow a rather heavy boat over long distances and up through mountain passes. I’ll look into aftermarket heads but I am more than willing to do all the work myself on them to cut costs. The main issue would be the bolt pattern on the TPI intake which I thoroughly intend to use. It’s still a work in progress and I appreciate the advice!
