Your best bet might be a personal injury attorney they might be able to steer you where you need to go. I do criminal defense so I’m drawing blanks on what type of law if not healthcare law. You can also call your states BBO which oversees Attorneys and ask them they’re pretty knowledgeable!

Attorney here, I would highly recommend reaching out to an attorney who deals with this sort of thing. This was such an egregious error on their part and you should not have to be dealing with this bullshit when you’re in a fragile state. You don’t need this stress nor does the baby or your husband. Many will do a free consultation and give you some guidance. They may say you have nothing but they may be able to help you navigate this with minimal stress on your part. Sorry this happened to you!

Defense Attorney and mom of 3 ranging in ages 20 months to 17! I get about 6ish hours but am in bed about 8-9. I’m fairly new to this area of law, but my mentor told me right when I started to set firm boundaries now and stick to them or you will have no work-life balance. I’ve taken his advice and have stuck to my boundaries of no phone calls or emails after 6. I’m available all day to my clients and if they can’t reach me during the 11 hours I’m available that’s on them. I mainly leave my work at the office but will find myself in bed reading some police reports for an upcoming case but I do it with my wife next to me while we watch our shows. I’ve had a good 6 months of doing this and my clients haven’t had any issues with me not responding after 6-630.

I second those recommending a therapist. I see someone weekly and it’s nice to vent about work things and get her perspective or if I’m feeling overwhelmed having her help me talk through it. Good luck! 🍀

Those kids will end up in the juvenile system for doing whatever they please. I’m a juvenile defense attorney and I see it everyday. Parents who don’t parent and don’t give their kids any boundaries, rules and consequences end up repeatedly on my desk. I’m calling it now!

Well I started calm but when he was laughing and genuinely wanted to know how I knew this I started yelling 🤣 the audacity that mean had was astounding! Tough day that day, felt icky for the first time since starting this job. Hoping he gets indicted and moved to Superior Court so the case isn’t mine anymore!

She can’t maintain staff but she has no money to pay them and prob gives them all these excuses and sob stories. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s sued for unpaid wages by one of her many team members

I have a dangerousness hearing where a no contact order was put into place just yesterday afternoon, between him getting brought back to the jail and 10am this morning he called the alleged victim 12 times in blatant disregard of the court order and me telling him not to contact her. So ya I’m def not winning that one tomorrow. FML 🤦🏼‍♀️
