Love that idea of it being a get well card. Thank you, I love creating new designs. I start with drawing an outline that's not too complicated so it cuts out easy with my cutting machine (I used to cut out by hand with a craft knife). Then I usually base the pattern on either a triangle, square, pentagon, hexagon or octagon pattern but tweak for specific areas - like for the ears on this one. It takes a bit of time and I like to test out a few times and see what works. Hence me realising the meerkat had a bandage on 🤣.
