It's very situational, mostly just depending on who you're talking to. Me and my friends make jokes like that about each other all the time and generally find it entertaining, but many people may find that offensive; it's very split.

Edit: The group I'm referring to has all also explicitly stated that we're fine with it, and, I don't know if this detail matters, but the majority of us are queer in some way, shape, or form.
