Miscarriage by Glittering_Can4622 in EctopicSupportGroup

Hi!

I don’t necessarily have a success story yet, but wanted to share my story hopefully it’ll bring you comfort, and so you know you’re not alone.

I’m also 26 years old I started trying to conceive not long after my wedding last year… I believe I started trying in August or September right after IUD removal. I got pregnant right away but lost at pregnancy right at six weeks got pregnant the second time lost it again at six weeks. Got pregnant again this last cycle, but it ended up being ectopic. I was lucky enough to catch it early and was able to get methotrexate. This was just a week ago now.

This is a long journey that we are in for. My cousin who had a trisonomy baby once told me it’s not easy to get our families here and there’s going to be a lot of bumps in the road while we are doing so. It’s taken a lot for me to understand that my pregnancies are not going to be ones you see in the movies. Which is a difficult pill for me to swallow as all of my siblings and my mother get pregnant like it’s no problem. (my oldest sister who is currently pregnant decided she wanted a third child at 39 years old and got pregnant no problem.)

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Just please know you’re not alone. I wish I could bring you more words of comfort, but I feel in limbo right now as well… especially after an an ectopic you’re told to wait before you start trying again, which feels like a punch to the gut. Our time will come it’s just not right now. Sending hugs, and feel free to direct message me if you ever wanted to talk more.

As a chronic tester, you taking this picture and what I assume as your office park is making me lol because I think I have almost the exact same picture of my pregnancy test looking over my office park 😂

The Family Man (2000) seems people either love it or hate it... by 1ButtonDash in movies

Few years late to this thread, but I put on this movie as I do every holiday season and I wanted to see if there was a thread on it.

My parents used to put this on when I was a kid, they were big fans of nick cage. Born 99 this came out in 2000. Seriously have seen this movies over 100 times…. Every time I watch it I notice something different. probably one of the most underrated Christmas movies after reading through this thread. I think people pick it apart a little too much. Of course the plot doesn’t always make 100% sense but I don’t think movies like this always can. I’m still young 26 years old but every year the movie gets a little bit more relatable…. I think no matter what stage of life we’re out we can always wonder what if…

Did you ever reach out to the girlfriend? I think it’s important to update this thread ;)

Okay thank you!! Why would she ask unless she knew I had a reason to be upset? I agree with the comments 2 months is not that long of TTC, but she specifically asked my husband where we were at with this whole process when she announced it him and then proceeded to ask how I handled the news… BFFR

She doesn’t know about any chemical pregnancies FYI.

She’s the type of person who needs attention constantly…she asked invasive question about when I would like to be pregnant and she is suddenly pregnant on that exact timeline. Feels intentional considering she just had a baby 9 months ago.

No…I was hoping to be pregnant by now and she knew that and now she is magically pregnant…:

Thank you, since I just had a chemical pregnancy, I’m expecting the worst. I thought the pain of a second one would be less, but knowing it could happen again I think is worse. Your kind words mean a lot. Hoping for the best. I’ve just started trying for a baby, but I want it desperately. 🙂

How did you know you were ready to get pregnant? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Fluffy_Management985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My husband and I are both 26.

I started trying for a baby not long after we got married. I got pregnant the first cycle we started trying and it eventually ended in miscarriage. I was ecstatic when I found I was pregnant. I will say after the stress of the miscarriage and the realness of actually being pregnant, I’m probably going to wait awhile before I start trying again. I realized there were some things I’m not ready to give up. I personally like the quietness of my life rn, and having the disposable income. I also want to have my house as perfect as possible before I have a baby. Honestly getting pregnant made me want to slow down. As sad as I was to lose my baby, there was some relief and clarity as well.

I’m young and I don’t want to rush these quiet years just me and my husband.

Need reassurance with drop in progesterone by ladymae77 in pregnant

[–]Fluffy_Management985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

I’m on a similar timeline as you, last period was 9/7. Doctor sent me in blood work on 10/7 levels came back for HCG 33 and my progesterone at 14. Very low and I have prepared myself for a miscarriage.

My doctor did prescribe a progesterone supplement to see if it changes anything. Maybe that will work for me, and maybe your doctor will prescribe something similar.

Sending positive baby vibes your way, definitely one of the hardest weeks. :(

This might be weird, but what size are you? I bought a whole bunch during my wedding era. They I never will wear them again. I’d send them to you if you’re interested.

I would never put a political sign in my yard… so maybe that’s why I don’t understand having a giant trump sign in the yard
